On Monday, July 24, 2023, I requested a quote from A-Z paving for widening and pave my driveway. They showed up in less than 10 minutes and advised that widening the driveway would be major construction and would cost a lot. I said, well, I don’t to do that. I stayed, we do need more room in the driveway. They showed me what they could do to give a little more room and line up the driveway with the road. The estimate provided was “980”, and according to them, they were giving me a discount. The last quote from another company we received was $2,650. I asked if I could get a text message with the “980” quote and the guy said, it’s pretty simple “980.” I repeated, okay, “980”, response, yes. After the work was completed, “980” turned out to be $9,800!!! I couldn’t believe it!! I let him know what “980” meant to me and he said, oh no, that wouldn’t be enough to pay my guys. For $9,800 the driveway should be wrapped around my house and it isn’t, nor is it that long or wide. They know exactly what they are doing and it’s taking advantage of people with their short totals and quick service. If anyone chooses to do business with them I recommend getting the quote in writing so there is no nonsense with them. Clearly, from receiving a previous quote from another company of $2,650 made “980” with a discount sound like $980.00 and not $9,800.
