I have been a customer of Carfax for a While and on the last purchase and use I was dissatisfied with the service provided on the information provided on a 2010 ***** ***** *****. I filled a complaint and was told that they will work harder to improve but that I could not get a refund for the summary that I was provided. After explaining my case it seemed that the advisor for Carfax was not caring about my satisfaction. I informed them to refund my remaining pre-paid searches and instead of refunding me what I paid they charged me extra. I initially paid $99 for 5 searches which come out to be $20 a search. They said they were going to refund the 4 that I did not use but downgrade what I purchased to the buy only one price which is $44 a search. I did not authorize them to downgrade my purchase and charge me $44 for something that I purchased for $20. They refunded me $58, and I believe that I should have been refunded $80. I have let them know of my dissatisfaction and have a chain of emails that basically tell me that they are not willing to do the right thing. I have spent wasted much time on this and now believe that they owe me more since I have spent multiple days on something that could of been simple customer service.
