Im extremely disappointed with the service I received at Honda of Chantilly. In November 2023, I brought my 2020 Honda Insight to their service department because my local mechanic noticed a possible transmission leak during an oil change. Since my car was still under the powertrain warranty, I expected them to address the issue seriously.Instead, they dismissed the leak, suggesting it might just be manufacturer grease, and simply cleaned the area. They told me to come back in a week, clearly aware that the leak was minor and slow but did nothing to actually fix it.Over the next year, the leak continued, though it was slow. Recently, the issue escalated, and I noticed a large leak while getting another oil change. When I returned to Honda of Chantilly with video evidence and photos, they again cleaned the area, sprayed it with a temporary sealant, and dismissed the issue, telling me to return in a week.Its clear theyre trying to mask the problem until my warranty expires so that Ill be stuck with the repair bill. This practice is not only unethical but also unsafe. Ive taken my car to another Honda dealership to document the sealant they used and gather evidence for a potential lawsuit. Ill also be reporting this to the Attorney General.Honda of Chantilly has lost my trust completely. Their lack of integrity and professionalism is shocking, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid their service department. They seem more interested in avoiding warranty repairs than in actually helping their customers.
