On May 10,2022 I paid a deposit of 75 dollars to commonwealth elite hoopz for a 2 day basketball camp on August 6 and 7 in ***************, ** with the remaining balance to be taken out on July 1 of 100 dollars. Checking my bank statement, it's listed as commonwealth elite ********* And on July 1, they took their 100 dollars. At that point being a month out, a location wasn't given out yet. Claiming they were waiting to see how many players they were excepting. I emailed them on July 15,2022, asking if there was any information regarding location, cause we were going to have to have hotel accommodations set for the weekend. They replied with next Friday they would have more information Friday 7/22/22. There was no information sent out. Today 7/24/2022 received emailed claiming they were postponing the camp till November (no dates or location) saying a numerous amount of kids are either injured or in nationals that same weekend. That is the reason for it. And won't allow refunds cause they're not canceling the camp just postponing it for other players that can't attend that weekend. Asked for refund was denied. How do we move a whole weekend camp dates cause of players not being able to attend but won't allow refunds for changes they made to accommodate other players. I signed my son up for this ******************* Camp months ago with a $75 deposit that was taken immediately. Another $100 was taken in July. The dates of the camp were supposed to be on August 6th - 7th. I inquired last week about location information, hours, etc. and was told that info would be sent on Sunday. They sent a mass email saying that the camp would be postponed until November. When I inquired about a refund because my son could not attend in November I was told that there were no refunds and that I would receive credit for a future event. I think that is unacceptable because the fact that the camp had to be postponed was not our fault and parents should be entitled to a refund because of this. I feel like I have been scammed because they never did provide event info, supposedly decided to postpone the event, and they are refusing to give refunds.Customer response
