We hired this company to do work for a new store that we are opening. We met them and they were given exact directions on what we needed them to do, and they assured us that they were capable of doing everything so we provided them with a 50% initial deposit, and they commenced work on March 23rd. They were somewhat punctual during the first week, but would consistently leave by 1pm, which should have been the first warning sign. We explicitly instructed them to purchase specific items (hand sinks, hoods, etc.) in order to comply with county and health department codes for our commercial establishment. We reiterated this multiple times. However, instead of adhering to our instructions, they proceeded to acquire and install equipment designed for residential use.Fast forward to the end of March, they went **** We began receiving excuses like "I'm out of town" or "I've been sick, but I'll be back this week." That was on March 29th. It is now May 22nd, and we haven't heard a single word from them, nor has anyone bothered to show up to complete the work. We warned them several times to provide updates or face legal consequences. While we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, they lacked the basic courtesy to communicate their absence to ** for two whole months. We've been patient, but now we're only weeks away from our business's grand opening, and we're nowhere near finished. It's unfortunate because we trusted them with our money and relied on them to help ** build out our store in time. Instead, we wasted our funds on wrong equipment and unfinished work. Now we have to shell out even more money to hire another contractor to rectify their mistakes and complete the remaining job.Not to mention the loss of potential sales and rent. I strongly advise against using W&W for even the most basic contracting needs. They clearly have no regard for their own business, and their incompetence will only result in more damage to your precious time and hard-earned money.Review from PB

After researching several companies for a kitchen remodel, laundry room extension and other things I needed done in my house, I hired W&W, LCP, LLC relying on the ratings of a contractor-matching service, the comments of the two referrals I received, the reasonable estimate and they checked out as insured and licensed. I did search the BBB which indicated it had an A- rating but it was not BBB accredited. I did decide on an initial meeting and they assured me they had at least 6 years of home remodeling experience. We decided on an early August start date. Initially it went well when we picked out materials, etc. Once the work commenced however, it went very wrong. Besides a laundry room extension, I wanted a kitchen renovation involving my red oak kitchen cabinets to be either stained or painted to give a white washed look with the wood grain showing through. When I interviewed them they assured me they could do this. After several attempts to achieve the right color we chose a stain that suited. Although it was not quite the look I pictured the color was attractive and I told them so. However, upon the preparation of the cabinets to remove the old stain only a very coarse 120 grit sandpaper was used, all the old finish was not removed and the cabinets were sanded across and around the grain of the wood, noticeably scratching them. I questioned this technique several times and was assured by the contractor it would be fixed. The doors were also not removed, nor the drawer fronts or hinges. After my questioning this, most of the doors were eventually removed (except 3) but not the hinges nor drawer fronts. 2 coats of stain were applied to most but not all of the cabinets when the contractor decided it was time to apply a finishing coat of polyurethane. I asked why since there were spots that needed redoing or staining. He again assured me that he would fix them. I tried not to “hover”. The contractor is supposed to be the professional. The staining resulted in an attractive color but all the extremely poor sanding across and circular swirls around the grain were very apparent giving it a scratched appearance as was the pooling of the stain at many of the corners and along the trim plus there were numerous bare spots not covered by the stain at all. Additionally, much of the work was not taped off to protect my appliances or walls. There were stain marks everywhere. After he left and upon closer inspection I found many places on my appliances, the hinges, the inside of the cupboards and the walls that had stain smeared on them. When I showed the results to friends and professionals for their honest opinion they too felt it was totally substandard work and not acceptable. I ultimately decided to terminate my contract with the company and requested my $**** (1/3 of the total cost) down payment to be refunded. They refused stating that they had used all the money on materials and labor and restocking fees. I asked several times for a receipt of purchases or a breakdown of work done, which I never received. From my research, there was less than $**** of materials used including stain and the building supplies used in the laundry room. The work completed in the laundry was less than 10% finished. There were no restocking fees as the bulk of the materials came from ***** which does not charge restocking fees unless there was a special order (there was not). The cupboards were so ruined I had to hire another contractor to redo all the cupboards. During the time of their employment the contractor and his crew were late most of the time or did not show up at all. When they did show, a full day’s work was never put it. This was frustrating enough, but the substandard work was totally unacceptable. To make matters worse, the contractor was supposed to use the money I gave him from my down payment to make the initial payment for the granite and which he already had cashed several weeks in advance. However, the check he paid to the granite company bounced due to lack of funds even before I terminated him. I ended up paying the granite company the full amount for my counter tops. In conclusion, not only did the company do subpar work, they also wrote a check for materials from funds I gave them but had already been spent. I had to hire other contractors to fix the mess and complete the work they did not complete. I would give this company a 0 star rating if I could.W&W LCP LLC Response

This client is not speaking the entire truth. We spent several hours with the client on what they wanted. We tried to get the client to paint the cabinets, but they insisted on this staining which we stated would be a process. These cabinets took a lot of time due to the the client changes the color several times and we had to resand and restain until the client liked it. As for the the laundry room, the laundry room was completed, plumbing rerouted and Sheetrock was hung. The check to the granite company did not return we stopped it because the client could not decide on the granite. The template was cut for her and she was waiting to decide. The clients son came to town and changed her mind. She loved everything about the cabinet and the laundry room, but the son had a kitchen redone, lived through construction and because the son did not like the look the client decided the change her mind. We would never proceed without the approval of the client, the clients have to trust the process. The client was very skeptical about doing the kitchen and I told the client maybe they should wait. We spent more than 4 weeks with the client mainly focusing on the cabinets. We bought materials, we had ordered flooring, that we had to restock because they were special order and I stoped the countertop because once that is cut it was ours to buy and the client was not sure. Remodels are very stressful and can be very difficult to live through. The client also showed a pic of her sons kitchen that was on a magazine and it seemed that the son didn’t like the stain or what the client liked. The client mentioned to us that this was what they liked and they were not going to listen to anyone. I did tell the client to make sure they were ready to move forward with it and that we understood if they didn’t want to move forward.
