Highly Recommend NOT DOING BUSINESS with BMC (building management company, llc)! I took residence in one of the apartment complexes they manage and it was the absolute WORST experience Ive ever had renting a apartment! Heres some insight on my experience at Sunrise apartments and BMC in *************** ** The Good: #1 The apartment had hardwood floors throughout. THE BAD: #1 They gave me lots of trouble with my *** animal. I submitted all of my legal documents for my *** animal and everything was ok for a few months. Months pass by and one day I had a letter of noncompliance on my door for having a dog on the premise. After reminding them that my animal is a *** animal protected under the federal law, BMC tried to walk back all the harassment they gave me over my *** animal and Removed the non-compliance letter. This caused a lot of inconvenience and stress. They do not like animals.#2 When I moved out, BMC did everything in their power to scam me out of my deposit. I was charged $750 for a few minor scuffs on the wall from moving in/out and $250 too do some very minor cleaning. When I tried to ask why I was being charged so much for the minor work that needed to be done, they stopped responding all together. It has now been 31 days today since I moved out and I have still not received any of my deposit back. BMC has no respect or courtesy for their tenants. #3 The property managers seem to be very unorganized. I had a move out inspection scheduled with The property manager of BMC and when I arrived for the scheduled timed inspection, no one knew that I had scheduled the inspection. #4 The apartment above me had a water leak and eventually started leaking down into my apartment. I placed a maintenance request with BMC and The damage in my apartment was not addressed for over 30+ days. They basically told me that the contractor was busy and they would get to my concerns when they can.#5 The trash cans always stayed overfilled.
