On Feb. 24, we paid UPS Store ****** **** Portsmouth Blvd Unit A, Chesapeake, VA XXXXX to overnight a package from Chesapeake, VA to **** Point, *** The cost to overnight was ***** We paid to have the package delivered Feb 25. However, when we called UPS informed us that the package was left on the truck, and it would be delivered on Feb. 26. The night of Feb 25, I contacted UPS to confirm the item was shipping and was advised the package was left on the truck again. The package was an order of shirts for a customer that was due by Saturday, Feb. 26. We had to refund the money for the order due to the delay, **** (UPS shipping fee **** + refund of shirts for my customer ****** We contacted UPS and they put in a request to refund us for the shipping fees and compensate for profit loss. We were advised that UPS does not refund fuel on shipping charges. This has been a nightmare. We did not receive our shipping fee that we paid nor were we compensated for the delays. I am requesting a refund of my full **** and profit loss due to this issue.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/06/06) */ Customer complaint #: XXXXXXXX June 6, 2022 The customer is correct that they paid for a shipment that did not transpire. A *** driver failed to pick up the package from our store to commence the shipment-the error was solely on the UPS driver as the package was in the correct area of the UPS Store to be collected and scanned. The UPS Store is solely an intermediary between a customer and the *** brown trucks and have no authority in the resolution of a claim. We submitted appropriate paperwork and supporting documentation to the *** *** arm, *** **. We believe the insurance company paid out funds in response to their claim as the check was sent directly to the customer. Unfortunately, in this situation, the UPS Store is not privy to the determination of funds awarded.
