      Contracted with Chesapeake Fence in March of this year to install a cedar fence. I paid them $$ up front then no communication till three days' notice coming to install fence. #1 miss drew the fence lay out. #2 Three gates, one to get car in only 6ft made to 8ft. access gate for law mower replaced due turning gray. #3 replaced the car gate due to nailing a 3/4" board on one gate to make up the gap. #4 75% of the pickets replaced. due to graying. #5 then came back and replace all the pickets due to graying. #6 pain and suffering due to the many times they had to come back Was to be done in one or two days! no sign off by me period. The fence pickets are graying again. They have admitted fault due to dropping off some $$. Then started charging interest on the rest$$!! Don't under any circumstances give Chesapeake Fence any money up front! William ** ****

      The defective materials fall under our one-year warranty as stated on the contract. Our Company has been in business since 1964 and we have always been committed in providing quality products and services. Cedar fence boards naturally fade in color and will turn gray after being exposed to direct sunlight. The boards on this project DID prematurely change color and were deemed "defective" by the manufacturer of the lumber. We have fully replaced every single board around the entire property to satisfy this issue and to uphold our warranty. We corrected each of the issues mentioned above to satisfy the customer with proper gate widths etc. THE JOB REMAINS UNPAID for 82 days after the replacement of the boards and gates. Our Company deducted ***** from the balance due on the contract for the customer's time. Mr. Hall was not on site during the installation nor during the completion of the project. We have done everything in our power to satisfy the customer. Our office has had no response to any messages/emails/phone calls made by Chesapeake Fence to this customer. We will ask BBB to step in and assist our Company with contacting Mr. Hall for payment.

      I contracted Chesapeake Fence to replace our wood front porch railings and posts with an aluminum product. What I received was damage to our vinyl trim by cutting through it to brace the porch when installing posts. It is going to cost me more to pay for the damages incurred by above company than for the installation of the aluminum railings. I contacted them by phone and received a "sorry" from one of the field managers. I was told from people with construction experience that this was unacceptable to leave this porch in this condition.this damage. I recently sent pictures of damage to the above company awaiting further response.
