On September 23, 2021 MASF Supplements, LLC, entered into a settlement agreement with the Environmental Research Center, Inc. in San Diego, CA. MASF Supplement was issued a Noticed of Violation of California's Health & Safety Code with regards to the following product Collagen Grass Fed Type 1 & 3 Collagen Peptides, which did not meet the recommended legal amounts of lead and mercury for drinking water.

According to the agreement between MASF Supplements and Environmental Research Center, Inc., both parties entered into the agreement in order to fully resolve all claims, demands and allegations regarding the Notice and for the purpose of avoiding prolonged litigation. Nothing in the agreement constitute or be construed as an admission by the parties of any fact, issue of law or violation of law, as well as giving rise to any presumption or inference of admission or concession by parties as to fault, wrongdoing or liability.

MASF Supplements, LLC paid a $10,000 fine, and agreed for the next five years to have their products tested once a year for lead and mercury on products sold to California consumers, and permanently enjoined from distributing, manufacturing, or selling to consumers directly in the State of California any product which exposes a person to a "Daily Lead Exposure Level" of more than 0.5 micrograms and a "Daily Mercury Exposure Level" of more than 0.3 microgram.
