We purchased our home September 17, 2021 through ******* ********* ***** and they used Smith & Keene for the HVAC, plumbing, and gas line installation of our home. We discovered a leak in our attic and took a video of the leak in motion when it was raining. Rain water is getting in the furnace vent duct that exits the roof every time it rains and traveling down the inside of the pipe coming out at the elbow joint which then leaks on our attic floors, but also the water is making it's way into the furnace. The furnace is rusting. The builder's roofer came out and confirmed that the roofing is free of defects or damage and that the problem is the furnace vent duct. The roofer also confirmed that he could see inside the vent duct from outside on the roof and that there is visible rust inside the duct and signs of water marks/staining. When the tech for Smith & Keene came out to inspect, he said that he can only look at it from inside the home and that he does not get on roofs and he had no good solution and the company has done absolutely nothing else to stop this issue from happening. We are still under warranty. We are left with a roof vent duct leaking, which is destroying our home and our furnace. Also, there is a huge area where the furnace was not sealed correctly, so we have been paying to air condition and heat our attic with this not sealed properly. Please help us get this company to fix the defective roof furnace duct.Business response

They will find and repair all problems at hand. We will be following up afterward to make sure the homeowner is satisfied.
