I paid a $200 application fee to hold an apartment that was never available nor was it taken off the website. I ended up working with two people during the application process which is how I learned about the apartment never being available or taken off the website. I requested my refund and I was told Id have my money in 30 days. Ive emailed them for an update with no response. Times are hard and I would like my refund.Customer response

A representative from the corporate office called and ensured me my refund would be expedited over night, that was last week. She even confirmed my address but I have yet to receive my refund.Customer response

I called the rental office at White Oak Apartments a few times in May 2023 as my lease ends on 7/19/23 to see what the renewal fee was. The complex is conveniently located and had a lot of. Positives which is why I waited to see what the fee would be. I did not receive an email about renewal until 6/2/23. It was at that point that the rent went up ******. I knew i couldnt pay the new *** of **** so i sent a notice to vacate on 6/9. On 6/24/23 i got a response back from the office saying Im liable until 8/17 for not providing proper notice. I asked if they could negotiate and that price was out of my range so i emailed the office on 7/1/23 to tell them that o was vacating. The office then contacted me and said Im responsible until September because of not providing notice. Then i was told i would have to pay month to month rent for 2 months which is 600 dollars higher than my original rent payment. It went from 8/17 to now September. I couldnt make a decision until i got the renewal fee because i did not want to move but i would if i had to. The office failed to provide documentation referencing renewal rates until 1 month and 18 days before my lease is set to end. I spoke to ******** who told me i would be responsible for month to month until September when i was previously told august. I did not have the proper time to make the decision and now my last month of rent is ridiculously high. Almost **** dollars when my rent amount was *******. I sent the director a separate email and emailed back through the portal and I didnt receive a response. I sent my non renewal on 6/9 and i didnt receive a response until 6/24/23Customer response
