Eric's Heating and Cooling installed a heat pump for us in May 2020. After installation and was told it was working properly, the unit in the attic began leaking water when the AC was turned on and caused damage to our upstairs hallway ceiling. Eric was contacted and a worker came out to drain the drip pan and the worker left. Turned the unit back on and it flooded again causing more water damage. The worker came back and installed a pump. That has worked and no more problems with the AC. However, the first time the heat was turned on with this new unit, pieces or paper on fire with flying out of the air vents upstairs and the smoke alarms turned on in the house. I immediately turned the unit off and called Eric. He sent his worker over and told me that packaging paper was left inside the unit and not removed. The worker removed the remaining paper and said it should be working now. It partially heated the house for that winter but this year, there is NO heat at all coming from the unit. Eric told me he was going to talk to his sales rep and have a camera brought over to view the internal damage. I have not heard back from him. Our unit can no longer heat our house and is not working properly. (I have text messages and emails for proof)
