My daughter is in collage in **********, **. She has 2010 Toyota Corolla. On October 24, 2022, her car didn't start after having it jump start, she took it to the Auto Zone to have her battery checked. This battery was replaced by them about a year ago. Instead of testing the battery, told that the battery terminals are loose and need to be replaced. So, she took it to the Repair shop. Mechanic replaced the terminals. After replacing the terminals, car had same issue, they recommended to replace the battery. So, she drove the car back to AutoZone. Since this battery was under warranty, they offered to replace battery. While replacing the battery, their worker dropped some tool on the Rediator hose and broke the plastic connector and coolant start leaking, the worker lied to my daughter that it was already like that and accused that the mechanic did it. My daughter was standing right there and saw him drop the tool. Instead of apologizing asked her to tow the car back to the mechanic because it is not drivable. She got frustrated and left the car there. I called this Auto Zone next morning. Someone answered and told me that they do not have the car there and they do not repair they just sell parts. Since my daughter had exam next day, so me and my wife took day off from work and drove 4 hours to go there and to have it repair. when we arrived at Auto Zone and saw the car parked right in front of Auto Zone. when the manager and the worker saw us, they walk up to us and said they have the part and will replace it. So, in short, they lied about their fault and when saw adults are involved then decided to help instead of doing it in the first place which could have save us time, money and frustrations.Customer response

Yes, we would like to get refund for the part we bought for the car. As well as compensation for the time and money we expand to travel to *********, ** from ***********, **. It is just because of their misinformation and lie by the technician and the manager I spoke to over the phone.Business response

****** talked to this consumer a couple of times and asked for a receipt. they will re-imburse him for the part/repair.
