I ordered cupcakes and cookies with a woodland creature theme for a baby shower in May to pick up the cupcakes on June 4th at 1:00. I paid everything up front with a contract. The issue I’m having is one the cupcakes were not edible, and they did not look like what I ordered. Plus, never received cookies. The owner text me and emailed me without calling to say her daughter was sick and could we pick up at later time plus she stated she couldn’t make the cookies as promised. I said I can pick up later. So, at 2:00 my daughter was in a hurry to pick them up at the house of the owner. My daughter and her friend picked up the cupcakes at a little bit after 2, she called me and took pictures of the cupcakes. They were horrible. The icing was half on them, so I think the owner just had taken them out of the oven and throw frosting on them with horrible pink sprinkles and woodland animal pics. I asked for chocolate and vanilla which they were not. Plus she gave me extra cupcakes because of the cookie issue. The cupcakes tasted horrible and the boxes which the cupcakes were in smelled like smoke. Not for sure if someone in the house smokes or not. The bakery is in her home. I asked for the refund she said she couldn’t but then she said she would. I’ve waited patiently for almost a month to receive the refund back on my credit card. I’ve sent emails and finally I’m writing to have BBB help with the matter. I can send pictures with the time stamped on them. I paid 129.81 on 5/23/22 with my credit card through a 3rd party system the owner, Stephanie Waldron uses for her business. I haven’t taken this issue to her social media page but I will this is not resolved. On her business page, there have been a few others who have made comments in the last couple of weeks of her not following through because her daughter is sick. I’m so sorry for her family issues but if you plan to run a business have a back up plan for emergencies.
