Essentially, SpaTech came to my house without the personnel, the tools, and know-how necessary to fix a hot tub. Seeing that he had arrived alone, and at his request, I agreed to assist him in lifting the hot tub so he could access the bottom of the hot tub, if only to make sure that neither my hot tub nor the repairman got hurt on my property. Eventually, after two hours and a half-dozen lifts and replacements of the hot tub, not only was my assistance taken advantage of, but the repairman got irate when he continued to fail at the repair because he didn't have the right tools. Eventually, he got irate at me, the customer, and he threatened to walk off the job. With the electricity disconnected and my hot tub emptied in freezing temperatures, he put me in a terrible position. I had to either continue to help him and do as he wished as he continued to troubleshoot the repair without saying anything, or he would leave and subject my hot tub to further damage by the freezing temperatures. This business is paid to bring the personnel, tools, and know-how required to repair the hot tub, and yet he did not even complete the repair! He left after putting a gaping hole in the bottom of my hot tub with vague promises that he'll return a third time to complete the repair. If he does come back, I'm sure he'll demand that I help him finalize the repair. Is SpaTech even a licensed electrician which is usually required to disconnect and re-connect the electricity? Is SpaTech even licensed and bonded to cover accidents to customers that he demands assist him in his work? The BBB needs to regulate this old-school spa jockey better.
