He bought this truck in *********, ** and it had alot of rust underneath.  Truck had almost 300,000 miles on it.  I told him it really needed a engine but he want to try patch repairs.  It needed brakes also and he did not want to replace, he just wanted them patched so that he could make it back to the car lot he bought it from.   We would not have passed the state inspection on that truck.   He said still wasn't right when he came to pick it up so we replaced the master cyclinder at no charge to him.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.**I purchased my truck in **************, ** and the car has normal wear and tear in decent condition for a 12 year old pickup. The mechanic exaggerated the amount of rust and I can submit pictures if needed. This truck only has 172,032 miles not 300,000 and the engine is very strong which is the main reason I purchased this pickup. I had my friend ****** *******(who is a witness) drop the truck off at the mechanic's shop to see why the brake light was on. I received a call which stated the break line would need the be replaced and it would cost $1,000.00 plus brackets and other things would be $1,200 or more. I then told him don't worry about it I would get *** to come pick it up so that I could returning it back to the place I brought it from. Later on, that day I got a call from ****** saying that the mechanic went on his in cognitive and concocted and repair and the bill would be $1,042 I left work earlier because i was confused and in order to catch the shop before it close because i desperately needed to to speak to someone. On the way i stop by home to pick up the $1000 to do the civil thing, at the same time hoping what i heard was not true. After telling him specifically I wanted to have *** pick it up to return it to the car dealership. I also asked him why he did* not ask me before replacing my master cylinder. He replied, " It is what it is, i remember that next time".  I knew then that it was no compromising so i paid him and he gave me the keys and invoice. Before I could leave the parking lot, I noticed that the breaks were going all the way to the ground and the vehicle wasn't stopping. So, I had to leave the truck overnight so that he could try to get me some brakes because now i had no brakes. Upon investigation he illegally patched my brake line which put me in further danger, and eliminated my chances to take the truck back, now i have and patch brake line. I have a photo of the Odometer Disclosure Statement proving my vehicle has nowhere near 300,000 miles which has been stated, A photo of the receipt that shows i was charged for the master cylinder and the including labor and etc. And a photo of the inspection sticker that's currently on the vehicle.Im providing Mr ****** ******* (************) if you have any additions questions for himThanks******* ********  Regards, ******* ********

Did say this consumer brought in a master cyclinder and it didn't work/fit.   They replaced 2 master cyclinders and charged for one.
