Doug did a great job building me a reman CAT 3116 for my boat. He was always available to answer questions, and stands behind the engines he builds. Every business was slowed down by supply chain and quality issues, and my engine reman process was not exempt from that pain. But Doug always made it right, and I'm extremely pleased with the outcome of Doug's work. He knows his stuff, and stands behind his work. I will definitely be working with Doug again, but this time, on the preventative maintenance side of my other Cat engine!

Doug did an excellent job of completing a reman of a CAT 3116 350HP marine engine for me. The engine runs beautifully! While the completion was a little later than expected, Doug would always answer my calls and provide updates - a minor delay was much less important than taking the time and completing it properly. I did have questions post completion and again, Doug would always answer my calls. I would definitely recommend using Doug and would certainly use him again when I need his services.Review from Ryan R

Don’t say I did not warn you. I have one other confirmed story and two pending of a similar situation of people who used Jacob’s Diesel/Virginia diesel… 8 months to get my incomplete engines and untuned engines and I’m still dealing with the the issues… Please feel free to contact me…Virginia Diesel & Truck Repair, Inc. Unfortunately, just as many other businesses we are experiencing delays with obtaining parts and components necessary to build engines, as well as long and short blocks. We are also experiencing a lack of manpower due to consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. We advised Mr. *** of the time delays and offered to refund all of his deposit and terminate his contract. Mr. *** declined our offer and decided to await the completion of the engines he ordered. These engines were delivered and accepted by Mr. ***. Mr. *** has contacted us regarding his engine purchase and advised us he started both engines out of the boat and they ran perfectly. Upon Mr. *** installing the engines, he complaints included ( 1) engine being hard to start and (2) other making a hissing noise. Upon receipt of his concerns he was provided with instructions to diagnoses and/or correct his issues. At this time we have not received a response from Mr. *** if these actions corrected the problems, we have only received his demand to have someone travel to his location to fix his issues. He has been advised of his warranty provisions, which require him to remove the engines and return them to Virginia Diesel for diagnosis and/or repair. At this time Mr. *** has blocked our calls and we are unable to reach him by phone. We are working diligently to address Mr. *** issues without a resolution.
