I had an endoscopy performed in February 2021 with Gastro Health in Fairfax, VA. I was billed for $846.29 and an additional $202.81 which was paid in full. After my last payment, I was told that the bill was paid in full and there was no balance remaining. In January 2023, almost 2 years later, I was sent a bill for $305.21 by Gastro Health for the same services provided in February 2021.I have called on six separate occasions since being billed in Jan 2023 and was told each time on a recorded line that the bill would be disputed and that I did not need to worry about the balance. I was told that my $846.29 was not applied correctly to my bill and that my insurance company retracted a portion of their payment to Gastro Health over a year after paying it out. On my last call on May 24, 2023, the manager (***) told me that I owed the balance and that I was now past due. He stated that this was my responsibility and that the associates that I spoke with the 5 other times provided me incorrect information on recorded lines. This was not what was originally told to me on several occasions and I was told back in 2021 that my bill was paid in full. I have tried on several occasions and spent a long amount of time trying to get these bills removed for the past 5 months with no resolution and now being told that I need to pay or my account will go into collections/past due. I have not been provided a breakdown of my payment distributions or a full bill breakdown. Gastro Health just keeps sending me the same bill and changing the Bill ID number.
