Beware! My wife and I have hired this company for a tree and stump removal from our townhouse backyard, believing it should not take longer than a day. The price was competitive, so we weren't alerted when the company owner delayed starting the job due to a broken chainsaw on the day one. The next day, he only showed up in the afternoon, and immediately asked for more money to cover his expenses. We politely declined to pay before the job is done, more than an initial hefty retainer we already paid. He worked with his team for a bit and disappeared, claiming to finish on the next day. On the day three, he came up late again due to an alleged flat tire. In a few hours, his team finally managed to remove the tree. He proclaimed victory and immediately asked for more money before even starting on the stump. Again, we declined. On the day three, the stump was not removed, the team barely scratched the surface, leaving branches, leaves and sawdust everywhere. In the next morning, he asked for more money. That started the day four of the epic. In a few following hours, they removed less than a half of the stump and pushed debris outside our yard, leaving them piling up on the communal property along with their own waste they didn't care to remove. In the morning of the day five, the pile of debris was still there, and we were about to face charges from HOA. Being confronted, he promised to bring a truck shortly to clean everything up, but by the end of the day he said he didn't find the truck and since we treated him badly our deal is done. As the result, we had to call someone else to complete the job he started and dropped unfinished. We have to agree, they've done a lot of work in total, but it was performed quite unprofessionally, ineffectively, and not in a timely manner, breaking all their promises and making us regret hiring them for the job. That's the facts minus our emotions. Now, it's up to you to hire such contractors or not.
