We entered into an agreement over 34 weeks ago with The Window Man to provide us with 5 windows (by ******). The date of the agreement was July 29, 2021. We paid half the amount of $2,794.60 on August 4th. The Window Man has failed to deliver the windows. For the last 3 weeks we have been asking for our deposit to be returned. The agreement indicates that the Seller will make all reasonable efforts to deliver the windows between 12 and 18 weeks. They have made no such effort. They have not tried to contact us. They are only aware of the situation and that we would like our deposit back after 34 weeks of paying it to them because we have been asking them for it by phone and email. We have the signed agreement and receipt for what we paid. I do not think the Window Man ever intended to deliver our windows and instead simply took our money. We used the Window Man because they installed other windows and sliders for us through our builder when we remodeled last year. That relationship and transaction is separate and distinct from this but is the reason we asked them if they could do this small job for us. We paid this money to them directly for 5 windows which they never delivered and have never once tried to get in touch with us to discuss any delay or the matter at all. All communication is one way - us asking them to please pay us back our money that we promptly paid them upon signing the agreement. We have emailed the attached documentation to them, and spoke with their office manager Sandi who has said they can only cut a check when the owner is there. That was Friday and she said I would be contacted today to get a status. After 34 weeks I believe we have waited long enough. Their salesman Jon S************* stated in an email we should get our deposit back. Nobody will call us or return our email. We have never been treated so poorly in the 15 years we have lived, raised a family, and worked in Northern Virginia.
