Attempted to book a flight reservation through ***** for husband the evening of 7/18/22. *or whatever reason the booking could not be confirmed. Possibly a website glitch. So, on the eve of 7/19 again went to the ***** website to try again, or so I thought. While the ***** logo was used and appeared to be their site, what I didn't realize was that the site which came up was Tourexo.com. I decided to call the phone number shown since I had had difficulty previously with the website. Expecting the usual hour and 40 minute wait, I was surprised to get an agent immediately. He booked the flight very quickly, but said that since I was booking for my husband (who was out of town), my husband would have to sign electronically, and send photos of his **** card and ID (both sides). He did this reluctantly. I checked 'My Trips' on the ***** website using the confirmation code given, and it was listed, so it seemed legitimate. I then noticed that the destination was incorrect. Called back and "*****" my agent, booked the correct destination. He again requested and was given an electronic signature through my husband, who by this time felt as though this was a very unorthodox procedure. However, he was traveling and in a meeting so complied. ***** said that he couldn't provide a confirmation at the time, due to having to refund the original amount and rebook, but would call me within 24 hours with the new code. My husband's card has been charged $1,622.00 and there is no flight booked through *****, and no refund for the first booking appears. The company's number says it is busy, and the agent is not at his desk. **************** will not dispute the charges because my husband provided an electronic signature. I have called the BBB and have now seen the * rating the company has been given for resolving disputes. Also, while Tourexo was listed as the company, the company *lightiers is the recipient of the $1,622.00. I will file a complaint against both companies.Initial Complaint

My original flight with Alaska Airlines was delayed several times and eventually canceled. I called the "reservation desk" at *********** where I spoke with someone named Sirus. Sirus informed me that my ticket was non-refundable but that he could see what he could do and ultimately refunded $111 (from my original flight of $350) and charged me $268.96 for the new flight. Because I was misled to believe this person represented Alaska Airlines (he never said who he worked for--just the "reservation desk" at ***) and then outright lied to, being told my ticket was non-refundable, I accepted the charge. I now have gotten a hold of Alaska Airlines and they have informed me that passengers are constantly lied to and misled into situations like this. Of course, third parties may change tickets for a fee but this person misled me to believe they were a representative of the airline I was doing business with and then lied stating my ticket could not be refunded and that this was my best option. I filed a dispute with my bank on the charge because Alaska Airlines cannot do anything and I am filing this complaint so that other travelers can be aware. This company should be clear in who they are representing, what service they are providing, and not give any advice on original tickets if they do not know or it is not true. I have attached a screen shot of the price of what the new flight would have been at the time of purchase and a screenshot of some of the email correspondence I had with this business where I was charged a "fare difference." I hope others can avoid an experience like this.Customer response

It appears Tourexo uses *** to find clients. On Sept 25, I called them, thinking I was calling the airline directly so I could use up a voucher ($147) to book my flight. "The reservation desk" confirmed the voucher was valid and provided a quote of $498.70 (unlimited changes) and requested email confirmation. (which I provided). A couple hours later they sent an email that the rate had increased $961.70, based on a voucher issue. I emailed I did not agree and I called the company to cancel the ticket and was told to to speak to "my rep" who was not in. They said they could not send a confirmation that it was cancelled. My credit card company informed me that I was charged $468 (airline). On Sept 26, a rep said the ticket was cancelled. I told her about the credit card charge. She said the ticket will be cancelled tomorrow, but that she could not put this in writing. She said to call back on the 27. Given the above, I may need help to resolve
