They required a $200 refundable deposit to hold the car for me and my son to get down there. They did not picture the giant aftermarket muffler not mention just how loud it was. The door handle was damaged when we got there. We said it was not of interest but decided to drive it briefly. It was even worse. Loud, ragged out. And at full price. We said no thank tiu and asked for our deposit back from the salesman. He said his manager wasnt around but he would do it. I checked back a week later. No credit. Several more calls and nothing. Finally got the manager who said I HAD MISLED THEM and kept their car in my hold which may have prevented them selling it. I argued back saying it was a refundable deposit. He finally agreed to send me a credit if I could give him my card number again. Not feeling comfortable with this I contacted my credit card companys fraud *****

"I strongly advise against dealing with Maxkar Auto, a dealership in **************, ********. In my experience, this dealership is one of the most corrupt establishments you can come across. If you are considering buying a vehicle from them, exercise caution and pay *************************. It is important to note that the prices they display on their website *** not be honored in their agreements. Additionally, they *** try to repossess your vehicle even if it has not been late for up to thirty days, which goes against consumer rights protection. I urge you to consider this information before purchasing from this dealership. I have personally reported them to all three bureaus and hired a lawyer. They have taken personal property out of a vehicle that they don't have the right to take. Not to mention that they exercised a breach of contract during their first attempt to repo my vehicle, which was current and up to date with the monthly payments. I had put down $18,000 on the car, and yet it had only been two months with current payments, and they unlawfully initiated the placement of the car on the lift while my wife was in the vehicle at the present moment. Law enforcement was contacted, and their assistance was requested. The one repo employee ran and hid until the cops arrived. The repo company did not have a legal document stating that a repossession was requested."

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY DUE TO THE GREEDINESS OF THE OWNER. DO NOT RECOMMEND. We were contacted by Maxkar in January 2022 to purchase our vehicle at a negotiated price of $***, got paper work completed to include the co-buyers signature, only to be told afterwards they wanted to re-evaluate car a third time. They lowered the price to $****, the exact loan payoff amount, and said take it or leave it. This is very predatory practices (1) since the owner knew we were trying to sale the car due to removing the co-buyer, and (2) because the car was evaluated twice and we agreed on $*** and paperwork was completed. Due to issues with the co-buyer we were unable to complete the paperwork again at $**** because they would not sign. Maxkar never contacted us within the 2 week period to let us know that they were unable to get the paperwork from the co-buyer, and when I called for a follow-up was told they just decided last night not to move forward with the deal (very convenient). This is an unfortunate situation. The deal could've been completed at the originally negotiated terms with the completed paperwork, yet due to greed and unprofessionalism by the owner we were unable to move forward. Now the separate issue of getting the co-buyer to sign paperwork for processing somewhere else is slim, so the car will most likely be surrendered which is not the best outcome either. *Sidenote: co-buyer emailed us letting us know they did sign second paperwork at $****, however the truth of matter cannot be validated due to the sources (co-buyer and dealership are dishonest so who really knows).
