We hired the company to install a entry door into our garage where a window is now. He came and looked at the job then sent us a contract on 4/12/2022, to sign and send him a deposit for the job and door. The total amount of the job was $1,042.33 and we gave him a $850.00 deposit for the job. He gave us a start date of 5/22/2022 with a note, date May be affected by bad weather. Well here it is 4 months later and he still hasn’t completed the job. His last text to me middle of July states he promised this job would be completed by the end of July. This was after many promises during this whole time that they would be here on certain days and someone waited at home all day and no one showed and no one even contacted us to say they weren’t coming. So after July first passed and no job done and no communication from him I contacted him again by text telling him we wanted a return of our full deposit as he hadn’t honored his contract or his time commitment. His excuse was bad weather again. So after some back and forth with him and threatening to file this complaint he agreed to send us back our full deposit by August 6th (the end of the week). Well as of today no money back from him he has now blocked all communication with himself for us. He even went in and deleted text between us. But I had already saved copies of all the text and can provide them if you need them, also blocked his messenger mail account, but have all of those archived in my account also. The deposit was ****** to him so also have proof of that if needed.
