August 24, 2021 I went for a no charge ****** ********. During the visit I asked for certain prescriptions to be refilled including one for **** ****. I did not come in for the **** ****, only mentioned it because I needed a refill for the existing prescription I had. (Should have asked the pharmacist to request a refill after all this.) No examination or further discussion was made about my back other than me telling Nurse why I needed the refill like I did with the other 6 prescriptions I needed refills for. For some reason the Nurse decided that I needed to be billed for a physical and a regular office visit. Completely unethical and dishonest. The doctors office refuses to take the additional visit off my bill. I have been going to that office for probably 40 years and cannot understand why they think charging me twice for my visit is ok when all I asked for was a refill on an existing prescription. The nurse did not physically examine me nor did she looked at my *****Business response

We have reviewed the charges in question and we have decided to remove the office visit charge from the patient’s account. Based on ***** ******** ** ************* addressed and documented during an ****** ******** ****, it is certainly permissible to charge a patient for an office visit in addition to an ****** ******** ****. In this case, our review indicates the provider’s documentation should have been more detailed to support the charge for the office visit. Therefore, we have removed the office visit charge from the patient’s account. We value the feedback we receive from our patients and strive to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
