On March 4, 2022, I purchased a *** Blue *********************** bulldog, ******* She was advertised as being 14 weeks old, But she was really 20 weeks. I asked questions about the parents of the dog, to include pictures. I was sent pictures of dogs that were not the parents of this puppy. These parents were 5-7 pounds smaller than the puppies real parents. I did not find this out, until I had purchased the puppy and was given the *** paperwork. I was also told that there were no restrictions on the dog, and when I went to register the dog, it had limited registration. I called and texted on March 5, 2022 inquiring about the discrepancy. I had always dealt with Natalia B***************, and was under the impression that she was the breeder. She indicated that her "sister" has the brother of my puppy, so she indeed knows the parents of this puppy. The breeder listed on my paperwork is ***************************. Ms. B*********** indicated that she did not know the parents of the litters because her "brother" has the parents. Her brother, *********************** of ******** * ****, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. None of these individuals are listed on any paperwork, so clearly they are not the breeder. I only want to buy from reputable breeders, and not puppy mills. If Ms. B*************** and her family have so many dogs that they cannot keep the paperwork straight, they should not be breeding or puppy brokering. I contacted Ms. B**************** on March 6, 2022 to let her know that I would be bringing the puppy back, and wanted a refund. She told me that was not possible. She is right, that is not right to the poor puppy. However, this do feel that at least a partial refund should be offered. I am calling *** in the morning to also file a complaint, as this is not only unprofessional, but fraudulent, and clearly a puppy mill scam. Ms. B*************** says that it is not a scam because I got a high quality dog. But that is yet to be seen, since it is a gamble of the information provided on the puppy.

      Subject: Complaint ID ******** Response
      To: [email protected] <[email protected]>
      To whom it may concern,
My name is Natalia B*********, I am a representative of DC Luxury Bulldogs. I personally dealt with *** ****** from the time she contacted us about a puppy until now. All interactions with the exception of our in-person appointment on March 4th, 2022 has been documented through text message.
*** ****** was interested in ******, our blue ***** ****** bulldog, and contacted us on February 19, 2022 to express interest. ****** was originally $7,000, but due to her age after a reservation fell through, we lowered her price to $5,000 in hopes of finding her a home quicker. The customer then messaged us on February 20, 2022 with further questions about ******. She asked for parent photos, which I provided. At the time, I believed these were ******’s parents since I had put this image into ******’s file. *** ****** also expressed no interest in breeding, even stating she would most likely spay ****** if she purchased her (screenshot of this is attached). Because of this, I had no reason to believe that *** ****** had any intention of breeding.
Additionally, the customer states that she was under the impression that I was the breeder, although I always mention I am not. We are a family dedicated to breeding, and I rehome the puppies that my uncle and brother breed. They breed separately, and I find the homes for the puppies. I am always 100% transparent with this as I do not breed myself.
I do not appreciate *** ****** stating that we are a puppy mill, as this is far from what we are. The definition of a puppy mill is “an establishment that breeds puppies for sale, typically on an intensive basis and in conditions regarded as inhumane”. All of our dogs are certified through prestigious organizations and held to the highest standards of respect and proper care. This can be shown through our extensive history of producing high quality, healthy, and happy dogs. All of our dogs are bred in homes and taken care of until they are ready to go home, at which time they are in excellent health. The *** and *** has recognized us as quality breeders of purebred French and English Bulldogs. The statement that we are a “puppy mill” is offensive and defamation on our companies’ reputation. I made a mistake when transferring photos to my files, which was human error on my part. This does not mean that we breed our dogs in inhumane conditions, nor that we produce more dogs than is appropriate.
*** ****** states that ****** was advertised as being 14 weeks, however this was only on our website, which I update periodically. I never hid the fact that ****** was older, and all information regarding her age was shared with the customer both verbally and on her paperwork. I even provided *** ****** with the information that because ****** was born on October 16, 2021, she is eligible for her rabies vaccine. ******’s birth date is on the purchase agreement, the AKC certification, and on her vaccine record. (All documentation will be attached to this email).
On our purchase agreement (I will include this) I also state that we cannot guarantee size of the pet being purchased, which seems to be *** ******’s biggest concern. While I understand the frustration of having initially received the wrong parent photos, I cannot provide a refund solely based on this because it is not something we guarantee. Additionally, the customer states that the incorrect parents were “5-7 lbs smaller than the real parents”. This is not true as the mistaken mom was 22.6lbs and the dad was 24.8lbs, and ******’s actual mom is 23lbs and her dad is 28lbs. This is a difference of 0.4lbs for mom and 3.2lbs for dad (images attached). I let the customer know there was nothing I could do to rectify the situation except provide the correct photos, which I did.
Regarding the limited registration on the AKC paperwork, I explained to the customer that this did not affect the dogs’ purity or ability to be registered with the ***. Limited registration pertains only to the ability to breed the animal and use DC Luxury Bulldogs’ bloodlines. This does not mean the customer cannot breed her pet, it only means she cannot certify the litter through the *** using our bloodlines.
I explained this to the customer multiple times through message (images attached). Additionally, because I was under the impression she did not wish to breed, I did not offer the breeding rights to the customer upon purchase. I also asked the customer if she had any questions regarding the paperwork, to which she stated she did not. Whether or not she could breed the dog through the AKC is something that needs to be discussed prior to purchase, and because we sell dogs as pet only, this is not something we offer everyone. I explained this to the customer repeatedly, and even offered to sell her the breeding rights when the customer asked me about the limited registration through text (images attached). The customer continued to ignore the information I was providing to her about what the limited registration meant, and said she would contact the AKC about this. The customer additionally stated twice that “reputation is everything” when I refused to refund her. This felt like a threat towards me because I did not comply with her request (Images attached).
******* of ************* is not my brother, and I never stated that he was. This person is the owner of a business who offers stud services, which was used for ******’s litter. ******** ***** is my brother’s wife, and I do not understand why *** ****** is discussing my family in her complaint as this has nothing to do with the issues she is stating she has, and she is providing false information in this complaint regarding my family. I told the customer I would be getting in contact with my brother who is the breeder of this litter to confirm parent photos, which I did and provided on the morning of March 6th, 2022 (images attached).
I will not be providing *** ****** with any type of refund because not only was ****** already discounted by $2,000, but parent photos are not a basis for a refund. This request is not reasonable. I already explained that I can do no more to remedy the situation than to provide accurate photos of the parents(images attached). Our purchase agreement clearly states that we do not offer refunds, and additionally it is regarding the dog’s health, not how big the pet will be. ****** was taken home in excellent health conditions, with all official paperwork up to date and accurate.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions regarding this complaint, we do not believe it to be just to post a complaint with multiple discrepancies and false information. I already resolved this issue with the customer to the best of my ability, and cannot provide her with a refund as per our policies.
      Thank you for your attention,

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

DC Luxury Bulldogs continues to be dishonest, and provide inaccurate information. I will not breed my puppy, and I made that clear. However, *** standing is important to me because it speaks to the quality of the dog, and the breeding. DC Luxury Bulldogs should know this, since they advertise, and indicate in their complaint being endorsed by ***. ******s father is only *** registered, and he is outside of breed standard (as outlined by the ****). Natalia indicated for the first time in her response about an uncle. No one cares about her family dynamics, but I do care about the quality of the puppy purchased, and I do care that honest and accurate information is portrayed. That still continues to be a struggle for DC Luxury Bulldogs. If they have so many puppies that they cannot keep straight who is who, and what is what, you cannot speak to or expect quality. If they were so confused, they should have checked what they registered ****** as, as her paperwork says that she has a ***** dad, and brindle non-AKC mother. That is still not the pictures I was sent of her parents. ******* indicated that the parents are ***** and blue fawn, after being told they were cream fluffy and lilac. A ***** father, and brindle mother would not make a blue ***** puppy. So, again, DC Luxury Bulldogs are not honest, nor have integrity. Reputation is everything, and as DC Luxury Bulldogs now has an open investigation with the **** it would have been better to attempt to rectify this situation, versus continuing to lie and offer deceit. Now, I will have to get my dog DNA tested, just to properly register her. Of all my years of owning quality *** dogs, I have never had to go through this. This is absolutely not reputable!

      Regards,

      ****** *********
