Loan# ************ Loan Date: 08/21/2023 Item: Canon Model EF 85MM 1:1.2 L 2 USM, Serial# ****** On Dec.19th, 2023, I walked into the Dixie Pawn Inc. located on 1*** ** ****** ******* On this day I came to retrieve my pawned possession from this particular location. After examining my gear prior to paying, I noticed that my camera lens was damaged, and had received a crack while in their possession. When dealing with a camera lens, the body of such a lens cannot be damaged. Damaging lenses will affect the quality of the photos taken, throwing off any mechanical equipment inside the lens. Prior to me pawning this piece of equipment, the shop associate took pictures, and spent ample time examining this piece of equipment. There was no such damage present while the inspection was performed. I have included a picture of the damage highlighted in red. Instead of trying to solve this situation, despite me already being asked how we could solve this issue by previous associates, the shop owner chooses to ignore the fact that there is a procedure in which all associates in a pawn shop performs prior to receiving any item, which was done during the time of the pawn, and the item was viewed in perfect condition. I would like for the PAWN for the Lens needs to be corrected. I've paid more than $688.30 in storage fees than the pawn itself for how long its been under their care WHILE DAMAGED. I would also like for Dixie Pawn to cover the cost for damages made to the lens. If the business cannot pay me for repairs, then I would like for the amount for repairs to be deducted from the total cost of my ticket.
