Electrify America Charge stations out of order or simply not working. We bought a 2016 ***** Spark EV. These take different charger hook *** compared to *****. You can find these locations on a mapping program such as ******* or Apple Maps. Normally on these maps when you type it in it will show you location, availability, and whether or not any of the chargers at that location are inoperable or are being used at the present time. Last night I went to 2 different locations 10 miles apart that had a total of 9 chargers. only 1 charger was working. This is unacceptable. I contacted their customer service number, and received many apologies but no information as to when they will be repaired. This is like going to a gas station when you are needing gas and finding out they have no gas. I also disagree that we should have to download an app to buy electric from them. We can simply buy like we do at a gas station with a credit card and zip code, or a debit card and a PIN number. We don't have to download an app to by Exxon, Shell, Texaco, etc. This is simply putting more variables that can go wrong in the process. Do away with it I say. There needs to be regulation locally, at state level, or nationally that requires these machines to be up & running within a relatively short amount of time from being reported. ***** by the way does not have this issue with their chargers. I also suggest that ***************** open up Tesla chargers to the non-Tesla vehicles to hopefully run these other companies such as Electrify America out of business as they do not deserve my money, and my time. Last nights debacle cost me 2 hours of my time to find out that the recommended chargers from their customer service did not work. Again, unacceptable. I intend to not let this go and will be contacting local media, representatives, while attempting to reach the highest levels of Electrify America management to have a discussion if my messages are indeed being forwarded to them as requested.
