Business ProfileforMassage Envy Reston - North Point

I began a membership at Massage Envy Reston North Point on November 22nd 2019. On December 31, 2020, I attempted to close my account because I did not use their service. They told me my account credit would be lost for all the months I had been paying if I canceled and they offered to freeze the account for 3 months so that I could use my past credits in those months. (freeze request attached)In April 2021 the charges resumed and I had not used any credits. I called to cancel and they stated that they were not able to cancel or refund. I asked for the manager and they stated the manager would return my call. No manager ever returned my call. A few months later, I noticed that they were still charging me $75 per month. I called again and asked to cancel. They said they would have a manager call me back. Once again no manager called back. I took no follow-up action until I noticed the charges again in April 2022. On April 1st, 2020 I called and finally reached a manager (*********). I explained that I had not used the service since freezing the account December 2020 and wished to cancel. She stated that the only way she could cancel is if she emailed me a cancelation form and I signed it and returned it. She also stated that she was not able to refund me for any months that I had been paying without using their service. I told her I thought it was unfair that they made it so difficult to cancel (you can book, sign-up, etc from the app or over the phone, but to cancel they need an ink signature via emailed pdf). She was polite and said "sorry, it is what we require." I told her I do not authorize Massage Envy to charge my credit card and will consider additional charges to be fraudulent and would dispute them. That same day I called my bank which placed a block on recurring charges from Massage Envy. (con't on attached)
