      Bobby promised to excavate and build a concrete pad for a 20x26 metal garage prior to 19 September. He estimated the cost at $9000. He requested half down payment so he could begin on 25 September. I paid him on 19 and 20 September the full amount in cash app payments. He has repeatedly provided me excuses for every date since that. He has promised me to refund me in cash app a few times and also told me "the check is in the mail". To the best of my knowledge he has never shown up on my property. Currently he is not responding to text messages or cash app refund requests.

      I found the contractor from bbb.org, and asked him to build a French drain in my front yard. He said he would charge $3000 for that and asked me to pay $1500 deposit to start the work. I paid him $1500 on 9/11/2023 through *****. From then on, he kept finding excuses for not starting the work. I asked him to refund me the deposit on 10/1/2023, he said he will refund me, but I never received it. I paid the deposit to him because I trust bbb.org. I hope bbb can help me to resolve the issue and ask him to refund me the deposit . I kept the transaction record and all our text messages and will provide to you if you need.

      The contracted was created on 6/2/23 from this contractor to complete the following projects "Demo existing deck and rebuild to a 8x12 and put 8x15 patio in with concrete pavers to the left side of the deck. Then install 130 feet of chain link fence on the back side of the house." For the agreed amount of $10,700. I provided a check for $6000 for the 50% down payment. Construction began on in the next few days. I was told that Bobby was working with a guy named ******* whose company he had merged with, who i met. They did not finish the deck completely. After the delays seemed to stop, i had to reach out a few times to get updates throughout june/july. Bobby assured me that ******* was coming by to finish in august, I was aware at this time that bobby decided to "step away" due to family issues, which I was not made aware of until mid-august. Back and forth between bobby and ******* supposedly communicating, which did not happen. ******* was supposed to show and never did, and bobby was somehow unaware of this. Also found out that they actually are not part of the same company. They are separate and bobby never planned on doing anything other than the deck. He is able to sub-contract via the contract, but I was never told this. Finally got a hold of ******* who told me he would talk to bobby. Both of them messaging me on and off asking if either one spoke to me with no phone call from either. I became frustrated towards the end of august and requested someone to show before sept 1 or I wanted a refund, since the project has run almost 3 months. I was assured ******* would show Aug 31st and her never did. I requested my refund check on 9/1/23. I requested 3500$ since the deck cost 3000$ even though it wasn't completed. To this day I have not received my refund check and I am receiving more excuses as to why it is not in the mail, i have been told twice that is has been sent.

      Good morning, I am sorry Mr. ***** feels this way. Me and ******* were working together until we decided to split up. ******* called Mr ***** and told him he was on his way a couple different times and Mr ***** told him to wait that he did not want him to remain working. I have sent refund check and can not help mail. I really hope we can get this resolved. Thanks

      I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I am not satisfied with the result because this individual has told me 3 times that he has put my refund check in the mail, also stated he would do priority mail so I could get a tracking number. This has not occurred and i have been asking since Sept 1. I was never made aware of this "split". Especially since when i asked him about it he said that they always work together. ******* never called me, i got a text the day that I told them if no one arrived at the house i would want a refund. Especially since I gave them plenty of notice, they wanted to do the job the first weekend in september. They were aware of my deadline for them and were miraculously able to start that weekend, that is why I turned them down. I am honestly worried that this business will not give me my refund check due to the dishonesty of him in regard to the work and the response on BBB. If this is not settled soon, I will be obtaining a lawyer to pursuit legal action.  Regards, ***** *****

The business did not contact me.  I reached out to him and asked about the refund.   He told me he was working on getting the funds together.  I have not heard from the business since that time.  This conversation happened around 10/31/2023.   Regards, ***** *****
