On 23 August 2021, I purchased a remanufactured transfer case for my 2015 BMW X5 for the price of $2,443.89. Go Powertrain's policy states upon installation of the remanufactured part the old part must be returned. I scheduled the return however I cancelled it because the pre made *** mailing label did not match Go Powertrain's company name or address. I called Go Powertrain to explain why the pickup was cancelled. They told me a new shipping label will be created and the carrier would pickup the item directly from vehicle repair shop (it could not be picked up at my residence). At this point I was told the matter was taken care of. However in June 2022 I received an email from Go Powertrain inquiring about the return of the transfer case. I explained to them I thought the item was picked up based on their last instructions. I called the auto shop to inquire about the part and was told it was never picked up. They further explained after of months of the part just sitting there, they relocated their business to a new location and the transfer case along with other parts were scrapped instead of relocated. I relayed this information to Go Powertrain and explained the error occurred on their end because the shipping return label was never completed. Now on 4 August 2022 I received a letter from Go Powertrain's accounting department stating I must pay $1,000 for not returning the transfer case or my file will be turned over to a collection agency. I have once explained to Go Powertrain that I did what I was instructed to do and there are telephone calls and emails to validate my case. The failure was caused by their own internal staff for not following through with the return shipping label. I asked them to check their records before prejudging. Right now they are still requiring the $1,000.

Mr ******We do not record phone calls so we do not have all the records you requested. There is fault to be placed with all parties involved for this core not being returned. We will absorb the $1000 core charge at Go Powertrain charged by the manufacturer. By using the prepaid label on the part this all could have been avoided but we understand you assumed your shop had handled the core return. We made multiple points of contact to try and secure the core but never had success from the shop. Consider this matter resolved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Regards, **** ******

I order a remanufactured transmission for my 1993 ****** Supra from Go-Powertrain on 11/2/2021 invoice #*****. A core was not in stock and Go-Powertrain requested that I send my transmission to them to be remanufactured. It was shipped from ********* ****** on 11/16/2021 and received back on 12/13/2021. On 12/16/2021 I reported to Go-Powertrain that the torque convert was incorrect and would not fit. Go-Powertrain responded the next day explaining that the bolts connecting the torque converter had a pilot bolt and a certain order of installation. Back and forth for several day between ********* ****** and Go-Powertrain. ********* ask for my permission to drop the transmission and take pictures of the incorrect torque converter and told me that the very last part of their installation was the installing of the torque converter bolts. I had to agree to a second charge for a transmission removal and installation at an estimated cost of 12 hours @ $1284 including tax. The car was undriveable at that point and I felt I had little choice but to agree. Pictures where sent on 1/5/2022. After the pictures where received Go-Powertrain requested measurements. Measurement where sent on 1/11/2022 and a second torque converter was received on 1/17/2022. It had the correct bolt pattern but required smaller bolts and could not be used. Go-Powertrain then requested pictures, exact measurements and the model number off of the flex plate. Again I had to agree to and an extra charges to remove the flex plate which is not part of a transmission remove and install. 1/20/2022 the pictures where sent. but there was no number on the flex plate. On 1/29/2022 the third torque converter was received and fit correctly. So I paid ********* ****** the extra $1284 from their estimate and waited from 12/16/2021 until 2/3/2022 for my repair to be completed because of mistakes by Go-Powertrain. I requested $1284 be refunded but only received $613. This seems very unfair. Please refund remaining $671

We verified that we did send Mr **** a transmission rebuilt by one of our manufactures. There was a fitment issue with the torque converter causing a delay in getting the transmission replaced. The ****** Dealership was unwilling to work with Go Powertrain on getting the customer taken care of which led to multiple delays. The ****** dealership not only delayed the repair of the vehicle but also charged the customer every step of the way taking advantage of the situation. We spent more time on this claim than we have ever spent on one claim in our history to help the customer get this resolved. The end resoluton was a replacement torque converter which fixed the issue with fitment. Go powertrain paid for the replacement time per multiple labor guides and the parts to fix the vehicle. The delaership decided because it was a older vehicle they wanted multiple times the labor guide for every time they touched the vehicle which lead to thousands of dollars. The unethical practices of the dealership unfortunatly resulted in Mr **** left with a vehicle that ran worse than when he took the vehicle to the dealership because of a misdiagnosis by the dealership. With thousands of dollars spent by the customer and the ****** delaership not being registered with the BBB the only recousrse for any reimbursment is with Go Powertrain. Per a phone conversation with the customer and to avoid further social media attacks Go Powertrain is willing to pay the customer the listed demand.

I also agree with everything stated in Go Powertrains response. They where always courteous and helpful throughout the very long process of getting my fitment problem resolved.  Regards, ***** ****
