DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! On September 14th, my wife gave Dave Phelps a call to come over and do an estimate on my deck. Dave showed up that afternoon, did his estimate and in good faith to show that i was serious about him doing the job, i paid him half of what I owed him. Thinking that they would be more obliged to do the job well, i gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well, things went from bad to worse. First day on the job, David left one of his workers, Scott, to start pressure washing. Scott literally spent all morning trying to get his pressure washer to work. To make matters worse, he comes to my door asking for duct tape to duct tape a hose to a pressure washer. Then, when that didn't work, he left to head up to another job right up the street. Spent an entire morning doing nothing because he refused to call Dave and tell him about the situation. When he finally got to pressure washing my deck, he left paint chips EVERYWHERE! Up the steps, in my flower bed and did not wash them off which prompted my wife to have to do it instead. My wife later asked if he would wash off the paint chips that accrued the next day of which he then proceeded to take the pressure washer to my steps which stripped the paint (that had been put on there last year) and knocked off the mortar on the steps. Dave came by and said that he would fix the situation but then never told me when he was going to come by and fix it. My wife and I had been out on a Saturday night, when we came home to find our front steps "roped" off with duct tape and a botched cement job that was horrible. Furthermore, the person that did it, shoved pieces of wood into one hole and then tried to cover it up with cement. We were never informed about them coming to do the patch work. He put paint specks all over my storm door, panted my outlet on my front deck with paint specks, didn't even finish the steps that his guy messed up, destroyed two bushes, painted my vinyl siding of my house, did a botched job of the iron railing leading up to my house, would come and go as he pleased to the property, was never on time to the job, kept stoping and starting. He started the job on 09/15/2021, and just two days ago 09/27/2021, Scott decided to be finished. My wife told him that once i got off of work i would go and review everything. The more i looked the more concerned i became. In addition to this, they destroyed two bushes in the front yard, left his paint outside for the three days while it rained, DID NOT USE PAINTERS TAPE, and when i called Dave to explain my concerns and frustrations with the job, i got cussed out, told that i was just trying to milk him for "free stuff" and then proceeded to tell me that I was dishonest and had just didn't' want to pay that i was the kind of person that thought the world owed me everything. I never said that i didn't want to pay. I was more than happy to pay Dave and had every intention of paying a little extra for his hard work as a sign of appreciation and gratitude. I'm a double amputee and so it is difficult for me to go and reach certain spots on the deck, especially the outside. Any time i get help with something, i am extremely grateful for the help. I work two jobs to make ends meet and to provide for my family. I will never and have never taken advantage of someone's hard work. I value it. All the "extra" stuff that he had to do was because his guys messed up and he had to go back and fix it. But after his behavior and his lack of customer service skills and lack of concern for the job itself and the colorful language he used, i told him to come and get his stuff and go. Needless to say, he sent another worker to get his stuff, and that worker proceeded to yell and scream about the job while he was picking up the stuff. The experience we had was completely uncalled for, the customer service was way below expectations and i work in customer service and I know that when someone calls in with an issue, you do not proceed to curse them out and assume the worst of the person. You take ownership and ensure that the customer is satisfied with the work before proceeding forward or even asking for final payment. Two other neighbors of mine had negative experiences with this business as well to the point that one of them warned a neighbor not to use them. I leave this review so that others can avoid the frustrations of what we had to go through. Please do not use this guy, it is not worth it. If you are going to get a paint job or pressure washing done, do your research and research well.
