Vehicle was dropped off back in June to have the transmission rebuilt, Was told it would cost $1850.00 so i placed a small down-payment and then final payment a week and a half later. To date i have contacted Mr. Rowsey MULTIPLE times as to the progress of my vehicle only to be given excuse after excuse and being cursed at. I want my vehicle back, fully repaired as agreed with warrantee or not repaired with a full refund of my money. Next step will be to file a small claims action in court against him and his business.Initial Complaint

2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 Towed 11/4/2021 to (old) shop for reman transmission with convertor (3 yr unlimited mileage warranty) installed. Needs tran cost up front. Owner says reman installed. Completed 2/23/2022. Had issue 2/28/22, called owner said 'he was not happy with reman rec'd and had to get another and install'. Had towed to (new) shop 3/15/22 Truck was rec'd back again 5/2022. No paperwork for warranty received even after requesting. He stated 'your warranty paperwork is your receipt. You bring it to me for repair while covered'. Mileage//odometer 8/24/21 140,984 11/4/21 141,231 (transmission issue diagnosed at ****** ***** ***** Contacted Affordable Tran from recommendation, owner previously worked at *****.) 2/23/22 141,246 (had truck temporarily, issue w transmission) 11/29/22 145,130 4/20/23 148,784 6/22/23 149,578 Noise heard and had checked when inspected. Unable to diagnose, noise not heard. Only happens sporadically. 11/7/23 dropped truck off for issue. Possibly the torque convertor after mentioning issue in conversation with a friend. Should be covered with 3 year warranty. Charlie was able to diagnose and confirm it was the torque convertor. Said he needed to order parts. When following up, delayed responses and reasons for delay always given. 12/??/23 no update given, asked for expected delivery on parts 'ordered'. No response. 12/18/23 truck remained where it had been initially parked. Used spare key to retrieve truck since it was outside of the gated area. No one at business. Text to ask for spare key and owner did not respond. Took truck to another transmission repair shop. 12/21 Repair shop stated it has not been reprogrammed since 2013-torque convertor, shutters need repaired and stated the transmission was 'shot and needs to be fully replaced'. Went by AT to get keys @12:30p, gate locked. 1/3 gate locked 1/4 door locked, knocked on shop door--came to door. This customer drove the vehicle away from my place of business with a transmission that has a torque converter shudder after my diagnosis. I informed Mrs ******* that I has to get the converter replaced under warranty the company informed me that due to law strike they were not able to replace until they received the necessary parts from ******* ******. Mrs ******* is one of the most impatient and nasty attitudes I've ever had to deal with. The original warranty states that the warranty covers repairs at my place of business only. My local warranty covers repairs at my place of business ONLY being the vehicle was removed and driven away the warranty was canceled being its being driven and creating bigger issues I voided the warranty and will not be giving any refund I have the necessary paperwork to back up the voided warranty being it does not state any sort of time-frame for the repair under warranty. What we have experienced in dealing with such a impatient me first me now attitude even after I told Mrs ******* **** ** ******** *** ******** *** ********Any further correspondence will be handled with my attorney being the warranty was voided once it was driven away from my repair facility with a diagnosed problem she apparently is trying to something for nothing maybe she will get the driver front tire fixed it goes flat daily in no hurry to fix a bad tire but in a huge hurry to push her needed repair in front of already scheduled work.Initial Complaint

I have a 3-year warranty on my transmission from this business, ******* repaired my truck December 2022. On 10/8/23 transmission had issues, I called him the morning of 10/9 & he informed me to bring it by on 10/13. My truck is still there, I have everything on text messages showing at least 15 timeframes that have never hit, countless times of not being responsive, weeks & days at times. Trying not lose my job over not having my truck, been 2 months & it still sits. This is not a reliable position to be in at all, contradicting information at times. I have now had to purchase another vehicle just so I can make it by & now also paying for insurance. This is beyond frustrating. Like I said I have every text message available.Business response

Yes this is Charlie Rowley the business owner what the customer failed to mention was that he installed the wrong cluster which caused a communication problem with the transmission causing an internal failure. I offered to repair at no cost being he was a commercial account referral. Then I had a health issue pop up along with time missed and finding parts to fix a problem for free that was caused by the customer he files the complaint not understanding how I'm to blame for trying to be nice when by warranty standards I could have charged him again.
