All of a sudden, they are predatory in their towing behavior. I received a warning that my car would be towed within 48 hours at my expense. I've lived here for a bit over 1.5 years and have never seen these stickers on cars before. Overnight, they're on DOZENS of cars. The reason for them marking mine? My inspection is 7 days expired. That's it. Cops care less, it's getting fixed, but that threat is beyond out of proportion. That would wreck my livelihood for a while and probably make me not meet rent. Even though the company that would tow my vehicle is not ******* Keepe, it is ******* Keepe who I spoke to today. They're really unapologetic about the whole thing. I got answers like "this could be so much worse, we're not doing it too bad" or "we're cracking down on abandoned/damaged vehicles in the parking lot." (I'm paraphrasing for brevity). I'm not abandoning a vehicle, and I pay my rent. Also, I live in the back of the lot. It's kinda shaped like a diamond with the bottom being the entrance and the top being the back. I live at the top of that "diamond" where the parking is NEVER a crazy issue. Maybe certain Friday/Saturday nights I have to park closer to the corner, nothing ever worse than that. It's genuinely the most open and available parking in the whole complex by a lot. Even if parking were an issue, my apartment is one car per person. Just me and my bf. There's other people who are above 1 car per person. This is not about me abandoning my vehicle or hogging a spot. I commute 5 days a week year round. This is just about picking on their tenants and feeding them to their tow buddies. I wouldn't be writing if they were at least a bit empathetic. God forbid my inspection is SEVEN days past expiration. They need to pick their battles better and mind their business. I cannot recommend anybody live here. This is just one problem I'm writing about. There's more to say about other topics but, I won't do that here.
