This company Forclosure Defense center was suppose to help me, but instead they scammed me. The amount is 2390.00 This started in March 2023. On May 10 I called for a update, no answer.Until this day the phone just rings.Initial Complaint

My husband was at work one day and received a phone call from a company called Foreclosure Defense Center.. Gave the company my phone number for me to speak to them since he was at work. I called and talked to a lady back in November 2022 she explained we help people who are financially struggling to make mortgage payments. My husband and I thought it was a legit company to trust them..Faxed them several personal documents such as tax returns, paystubs, bank statements and debit card info along with utility bill information that they requested.. They charged us $1095 for down payment and wanted to charge us $695.00 a month after that. They told us numerous of times they work with our mortgage company ******* ******* and want to help us save our house.. Everytime I would call to see what was going on all they could tell me is they are still working on the progress but keep wanting payments and personal information. .Come to find out yesterday on March 1st 2023 that our mortgage company never heard of the business nor has written document of a third party trying to contact them.. Plus our mortgage company told us that they are not authorized to speak to them without my husband being on the phone to and told us it sounds like a scam..I want our money back if possible plus extra $40 I I spent sending personal documents to this company Foreclosure Defense Center . I I have canceled by debit card as of today March 2nd 2023 and got a new one.. I'm hoping something can be done about this..
