Moving my sons car to California - I called for quotes - I was quoted $835 - they sent contract - I signed - I paid $150 - with a balance of $685 to be paid upon delivery to California. At no point was I told that this amount would change. I was communicating mostly by text and calls to ********************* - though I did speak to her supervisor *****! On Monday 24th July I still had not been advised time - even though car was to be collected Tuesday 25th. ***** then came back saying it would be collecte Monday evening or Wednesday at an additional charge - I told her no that was not acceptable.. by the end of business day - I have text saying car will be collected at the agreed price on Tuesday (today). I called to get a window of the collection only to be told that the vehicle had broke down and that they could still collect but it would now be $1000 total! I asked for a refund of my deposit, she said I would have cancellation charges. Arguing once thing on phone, another in txt! At this stage in the game I cannot find someone to collect, and had to agree! Which I'm guessing they were banking on! Moving is stressful enough without being ripped off! I thought when you signed a contract that was a binding document now I have to find another $150 just to complete the business when I have all of it in writing and textBusiness Response

Dear customer,
We understand the inconvenience you had to go through. We looked into the matter and discovered that you were informed about the problems with picking up your vehicle and the reasons for the increase in price before we sent a substitute driver to pick it up. Your vehicle was only picked up after you agreed on a revised price and provided written consent.
Mechanical failures happen in the trucking industry, something that cannot be regulated or predicted. However, we apologize for not having explained all possible scenarios at the start.
Attached below are the screenshots of you giving the acknowledgement for the revised price.Also, you can see the driver’s confirmation email that the vehicle was received by your designated delivery contact.

I paid Genius Auto Trans $150 for a deposit on April 21 2023 through my **** app ******************. They were supposed to pickup my 2015 *** ****** LX in Kent, Ohio to Houston, Tx on April 22, 2023. After 4 days of paying the deposit, ********* told me there is no driver to pickup the car at $675 but he found one for $775, I disagreed. He came back after 2 more days that the driver he got is charging $950. I cancelled the order and ask for refund on April 27, 2023 but until today May 09, 2023, I haven't received my refund, they don't answer my calls and text messages. Please get them to refund my $150. December 2022 we contacted this auto shipper to transport a vehicle from ******** to *****. They quoted a price and before the vehicle was picked up they took a deposit of 150 dollars. They then called later on after missing the initial pickup day saying the price had almost doubled. We did not agree to that and then the driver or another employee reached out and asked for a cash deposit upon pickup. Once again we declined that and when I reached out for a refund they denied it and said we canceled the transaction. Even after the company intentionally mislead us on pricing doubled the final costs and held our deposit ****** they shifted blame on us for not accepting a vastly different price for the original service price. Now they refuse to return the deposit money stating that because we did not accept a doubling in cost from the quote we had been giving at first we are responsible for canceling and they are keeping the money. This company is untrustworthy and predatory in their pricing and changing of contracts they can not fulfill.Initial Complaint

I paid Genius Auto $150 for a deposit on August 26, 2022 via **** ***. They were supposed to pickup a vehicle I purchased from North Port, Florida today September 1, 2022. They haven’t and can’t pick it up because they have no drivers, but won’t refund my money. They keep giving me the runaround. Please get them to refund my $150Initial Complaint

Hired this company to transport my vechile from NJ to SC. The vechile was suppose to be picked up June 6th but no one showed . Called in finally got an answer but no refund. I have been trying now for 2 weeks plus to get my $150 refund with no success. This company needs to be held accountable and not steal from the public. On May 11th, I entered into a Contract for my vehicle to be shipped to Arkansas from Florida. On May 17th, there was still no carrier assigned for the transfer of my vehicle, therefore I cancelled with Genius Auto Transport. According to the contract, I am entitled to the full refund of my deposit of$120, due to no carrier assigned to transport my vehicle. As a result of their inability to transport my vehicle, I had to go to FL from AR to pick up my car. There were other problems with this Company removing my vehicle from the national dispatch board, yet my complaint only deals with the breech in contractual obligation on their part.Initial Complaint

I received a quoted price for a shipment of a motorcycle from Missouri to Nevada at a price of $575 they wanted a deposit of $150 this was dated on April 30 they started giving me other prices then the one we agreed upon so after weeks of waiting and no service I asked for my refund on May 11 and still after texting and emails to the company haven't heard I want my refundBusiness Response
