I have been going to this shop for a while.I have rarely been completely satisfied with their work however there's not too many good options in my area.This time however they have crossed the line my car is ruined.I now have transmission issues,I need a PS pump and Thermostat to name a few things.I was told that they were trying to help me by doing only the work I could afford.However how is not doing needed work helping me at all? Also I was not informed about these issues until after the fact I think there was still a responsibility to tell me about the other issues no matter what.Some of the issues were clearly known by them however not by me. One issue I brought up over and over again only to be told there was no need to worry only to have the boss say otherwise yesterday. This shop is a little bit irresponsible at best and at worse car sharks preying on the ignorant.Business response

The customer drove the car into the shop without the Serpentine belt on it. When it arrived, steam was coming out from under the hood. This indicates that the engine had got extremely hot. We determined that the water pump went bad and threw the belt off. The Serpentine belt runs the water pump, power steering pump and alternator. If the Serpentine belt had come off, the water pump would not be able to cool the engine. This would have affected the thermostat and could have boiled water out from that area. Since the belt was off the power steering pump (PS) would not be able to run and would cause damage to that system also. I've attached 2 pictures of the card that we do prior to any work getting done to the vehicle. One you can see antifreeze in the passenger side floorboard of the vehicle which indicates the customer was having problems prior to bringing it in. The other one you can see a puddle of coolant under the car. I mention to her all our work comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty, providing her with the assurance that any issues arising from our work it will be taken care of free of charge. To accurately assess the situation, we would need to inspect the vehicle. I kindly request her to bring the car back in so we can thoroughly examine it and determine if the recent problems are related to the previous incident.
