We purchased a Bradington Young wall hugger leather recliner from on June 19, 2021. In November 2021, 5 months after purchase, the leather appeared to be rubbing off. Bradington Young furniture is expensive furniture and we were disappointed to learn that the leather on a leather chair is not covered with warranty. Yes, we should have read the warranty closer, but one would think that a full leather piece of furniture would have some type of leather warranty. When this first issue occurred, we contacted the furniture store who worked with us having the chair partially reupholstered on January 24, 2022. Seven months after the first fix, we noticed the leather was rubbing off again. We contacted the store who sent a leather restorer to fix the problem. That was done on August 10, 2022. One month since the 2nd fix, we noticed the same thing was happening again.. For a chair less than 5 months old to have patches literally worn off and happen three times after the fixes, the situation is difficult to understand. The owner of the furniture store agreed to let us pick out another chair. This was probably our fault, but we chose another Bradington Young recliner but in a different color, thinking the first chair could have been a fluke and the problems would not happen again. HOWEVER, after only 2 and a half months of receiving the new chair, the leather is again peeling off, on the back of the chair, the seat, the arms and footrest. We have talked to several leather representatives and have been told this problems appears to be from a leather finish that is sprayed onto cloth and is not full leather through and through. . As the saying goes, "sometimes you buy a lemon". This chair appears to be a real lemon. Furthermore, we bought a lemon twice. Passing along information hoping to get an apology or a refund on the chair.
