On May 8th 2024, my dog, *****, was scheduled to get groomed at Spunky's Spa. The appointment was set for 7AM. My husband dropped ***** off at 7AM, and he was informed that she would be finished within an hour or so. By 12pm, he had heard nothing from them and became concerned. He called Spunky's just to get an update to see when she would be ready. They told him about another hour, he called again around 2pm, they said just a few more minutes. By 3pm, my husband was still waiting for a phone call. I was working, so I told him I would be there to see what the issue was. When I walked in and simply asked what was the issue, and why ***** had been there for eight hours at this point, the owner became very defensive as well as getting loud with me. She stated that we were being worked in and that she had until 6pm to get her done. We were never notified that she was being worked in. I was very upset at this point because of the unprofessional manner of the owner that I asked to see ***** because I was concerned at this point. ***** is a husky mix, and they shaved her. She was shaved down so low that it could possibly damage her fur. I asked the owner, since ***** had been there all day, if she had been fed, given water, or taken out to use the bathroom. The owner's response was "that's not my problem", therefore my dog had been treated inhumane. After seeing what a terrible job they had done to ***** and the rude, and unprofessional attitude of not just the employees, but the owner, I told them to stop what they were doing and give me my dog and I would have her finished elsewhere. The owner yelled at me and my husband both, that she would call the cops if we did not pay. I told my husband to just pay because I needed ***** back with us because I did not want her there another second. I am so disgusted with the way my dog was treated at Spunky's Spa. Not only that, but I hope that no other animal has to go through the abuse that mine did.
