I hired Kolb Electric to complete a wiring install in my crawl space to prepare for a well pump installation. The contract specified the power requirements for the well pump and the additional lighting. When the well company attempted to install the pump, the power provided did not meet the requirements outlined in the contract. I attempted to contact Kolb Electric for an emergency repair. They did not respond to phone requests or email requests. The well company was forced to hire an electrician to troubleshoot the wiring. The new electrician identified the problem at the breaker installed by Kolb and corrected the installation. I have asked Kolb to reimburse the expense. After initially indicating their intention to pay for the repairs, they have failed to provide payment after almost 90 days of invoice submission. I wish to resolve the matter now before moving on to small claims court. I appreciate your help.Business response

I apologize for the delay in getting this issue resolved. The Electrician that performed the work is no longer with the company and we were looking into details. Kolb Electric apologies for the inconvenience and will be more than happy to issue the refund discussed. I would like to confirm the requested refund amount is $100.00? We will process the $100.00 refund via the same method of payment made. If the original payment was made via credit card we will refund the credit card. That process usually takes 3-5 business days. If the original method of payment was via check, we will process the refund via check. The process usually takes the same amount of time.

Furthermore, I appreciate the promptness of the company's response and willingness to resolve the issue quickly. The refund has been processed via phone and I am very happy with the outcome.

On Dec. 01, 2022 Kolb started work at my house. The worker used a tablet to collect payment then issued no receipt when I paid $580.00. I called Kolb and requested an account statement, zero balance invoice, purchase order, or appropriate documentation. Kolb returned on Dec. 13, 2022 to finish installing light switches and I asked the electrician for my documentation. He called his company and relayed to me that they were emailing the invoices. I then paid an additional $850.50. I expected to be emailed documentation detailing the work. I then used Kolb's online contact form (attached) and someone replied that the invoices would be emailed to me and they have not. Not having documentation effectively increases the price of my renovations because I cannot add the undocumented work to my basis in the property and I will be assessed significant additional income taxes.Business response
