I received a ring that was purchased from this jeweler as a gift over a year ago. I took it to William ********* to be sized. They ordered a new ring because they could not size it down that much. I called weekly about this ring and it was not ready. Almost 2 months go by and the ring is still not there. When the ring was ready, they called my ex boyfriend who originally purchased it over a year ago instead of calling me and he picked up the ring. The ring is now in his possession. This ring did not belong to him and he was not on the receipt for pick up. I have that receipt so he was not able to present it for pickup. Because if this negligence on their part I am without my ring.Customer response

I went to William ******** this morning and they admitted fault on calling the ex-boyfriend to pick up my ring due to our accounts somehow being linked to each other. They also admitted to remembering me calling every week but felt that since he purchased the ring he could pick it up with out calling me to confirm it was okay or him presenting the receipt of repair. *****, who works there, was very compassionate and understood the severity of releasing my ring to the wrong person and advised that there would be a replacement. Her professionalism should be commended. I asked to speak to the owner before I left to feel more comfortable and have a definitive action plan of what they were going to do to replace the ring. ****, the owner immediately wanted to press charges against ******-boyfriend. I work for the regional jail in that jurisdiction that falls beneath the sheriff's office and advised that I did not want that due to my place of employment and only wanted them to correct their error with another resolution. They called ******-boyfriend and told him to return the ring and that I would be able to exchange it for something else of the same value or compensate for repairs of other jewelry I wanted repaired. He has until 6:00 pm today to return the ring. I was not looking for an arrest but for a resolution to the mistake they made on their behalf. To right their wrongs to me. Until I receive the ring back in my possession, I will keep this case open. I will close the case once the ring is returned to the correct owner. I did advise ***** that I placed a complaint with the BBB and that I would have it removed when this is resolved.
