      The problem involves a stack GE washer/dryer May 8, 2023 I called Lipscombe to ask if they made service calls to ******************** because ******** is located in Mechanicsville, 45minute drive. The serviceman **** answered the phone and said they would come out here to fix our washer/dryer. I then eplained the problems we were haviing with the washer/dryer. **** immediately states that he knew exactly what was wrong with the machine, and would order the part immediately. I asked **** if he should wait to order the part until he had inspected the washer/dryer. But **** said that he had seen this many times and he knew what he was doing.May, 22, 2023 This is the date of the service call by **** to fix the washer/dryer. This is the first time anyone from ******** had been to our home.**** took the front panel off the machine and reported that he could not find anything wrong with the c ontrol panel. He stated that he had seen this problem before and he knew that the panel should be replaced. **** asked if we wantedx to replace the panel. If we did not we would still have to pay for the labor and service call. **** stated taht he was sure the panel was bAd, but it was our call. o we had the panel replaced.June, 3, 4, 2023 ******************* The washer/dryer started to do the very thing we called ******** about. June 5, 2023 My husband called ******** and spoke to **** and he stated that he had no idea what Was wrong and suggested that we use the machine until it no longer works and than come to them for a new washer/dryer.I called ******** spoke to **** and asked for a refund considering the fix did not work and maybe there was something different wrong with the machine. I was told NO REFUND I than asked to speak with owner who said NO REFUND but if I wanted my money back he would refund the cost of the part , not the labor or service call, if I returned the part and than I would haved a broken machine They disposed of the old part.

      Hello, The client called in on May 8th to request a service call on a GE washer. One of our techs had taken the call and advised the client that by the description of the problem given thta it may be the control board and it would be best to get that before we came out. The client agreed so we ordered the board. The call was scheduled when the board arrived which was May 22nd. The tech arrived at the home and checked the washer for fault codes. There were no fault codes stored, at that time he explained that to the customer and they had the option to try the control board or not. They decided to have us put the board in. The tech tested the washer and it work correctly at that time. The client called back in and stated that the washer was having the same issues on June 5th. I had the tech call them back to talk to them about it. The tech explained that without any fault codes he could only guess at the problem, again the symptoms lean towards a bad control and he also reminded them that they had the option of not trying the control. They were not happy but the gentleman agreed that he had said to try the board. They called back to speak to me. They requested a full refund which I explained I could not do but I did offer a refund on the part but would have to get the part back. We do not have the old part as it was deposed of so it would render the unit not working. They were not happy with that offer and said they would take Lipscombe Appliance to court.

      In closing, the day of service, the gentleman call in and complimented the tech.
