Contract 11/6/20 for outdoor steps, walkway, retaining wall, patio stone repair, drainage, front step stone repair, lighting, trash can pad & enclosure. $*********. Work began winter 2021; completed, but PVC lattice for enclosure bowed, not installed well. Also, need touch up paint on the top, nails rusted almost immediately. Can enclosure work was contracted, not an employee of CCA. Paid $********* 11/6/20 Paid $ ******** 2/15/21 Paid $********* 5/27/21 Final Payment. Payments = $****** less than contract. Final Bill due April 23, 2021. Didn't want to pay until lattice corrected. *******, overseeing the job agreed lattice bowed & painting needed. Were told several times they would have the contractor come back. Never came back. Tried to reach ****** (manager?) and **** (sales) by phone, neither ever returned our calls. Billie in office said we could hold back 10% of final bill. She was calling us frequently for payment. Finally agreed with Billie to withhold $******; roughly 5% of final bill, 1.75% of total contract, to be paid once enclosure fixed. Contractor never returned. Never heard from CCA again, until 6 months later, 11/4/21 received an emailed bill for $******. Called, spoke with *****, explained the situation, thought all was resolved. Received an email & bill 12/10/21 from *****, said he received my voice mail, (? spoke with him live), said ******* and ****** did a walk through and all was completed. False: ****** never came by while we were home after work was completed; ******* agreed the lattice was bowed. CCA (Billie) suggested we hold the funds back, CCA said the contractor would come back, never did. We do not owe the ******. Of Note: We had just under $******* of work done on this house in 2020 & 2021 utilizing 22 contractors. CCA is the only contractor who did not complete a piece of work well, and the only funds not paid. Funds of $****** to $*******, and the 6 month lapse by CCA; please use some logic as to what transpired

Commonwealth Curb Appeal disagrees with the complaint. At this time, this matter has been resolved with the customer, ****** ******** and her attorney.Customer response

The above noted complaint has been resolved. The company’s attorney has advised my attorney that Commonwealth Curb Appeal will no longer pursue any additional payment for the unfinished trash can enclosure.
