I was referred to C&F Mortgage with Betty E**** January of 2021. There was an issue then but that was on me. I had to wait till my bankruptcy did its thing before we could refi. I contacted Betty and processed an application in August/Sept 2021. C&F hired an appraiser which was quarantined due to COVID. So they hired another. Second appraiser, who did not complete his work and correctly from what I was told and took well over 2 weeks to get answers and the report .. not sure why it took so long for C&F to do something about it instead of waiting, I guess my loan was not that important - which in turn pushed my refi date back. This appraiser only wanted a picture of the outside of my home, regardless of the fact that I told him that there were upgrades done inside. I am unsure why it took so long for C&F to do damage control to ensure that my loan was completed on time and correctly, according to the dates we agreed to. so this is twice now that I was pushed back. C&F has given me at least 3 times to close - all of which was their fault that they did not complete my refi. One of those times was the fact that Betty E**** had to be there when I closed but bc she was on vacation it was pushed back again... I lost my job on Sept 14th 2021 - I should have closed well before then and even Michelle P**** stated that. I received a phone call from the branch manager who had the nastiest tone asking if I still wanted to go through with my loan. I explained to her that I will be going through a company that truly cares about their clients and has better customer service. She got nasty with me all bBusiness response

they were trying to blame the cause regarding the closing timeframes as normal practices, if that was the case why did they wait till within two days of each closing to move it. Why did they tell me to wait on paying my mortgage, twice. Why did they tell me when they postponed August closing that they would have completed everything before my closing date.. twice. Sept10 and Sept 17. I would have closed way before according to their timeline and correspondence with Michelle and Betty.
IT is because of their neglect and negligence on behave oof C&F representatives that the first closing date things were not completed on time, same thing with Sept 10th closing, I was under the impression from the C&F representatives that they had everything together which is why I was given several closing dates. the deal was funded and they kept coming up with excuses to move my first date to from August to sept due to how well their numbers were for Aug so they moved sept to August. Then moved several bc of their negligence regarding the incorrect and incomplete second appraiser's report who only wanted to take a picture of the outside of the home, when he should have taken pictures inside due to recent upgrades in the home. Also, my closing date of sept 10th was moved to the 14th but then moved again to the 17th bc betty would have been out of town the week of the 14tI would really like to resolve this issue with C&F but I feel as though they are not taking the severe issues at hand in the proper measures to try to resolve this, due to the fraud and negligence on C&F's representatives part.Regards,
