I am an owner of a Cessna 172K. The plane was dropped off for an annual inspection in mid-Sept. of last year with the mutual understanding that I would do the actual "stripping" of the plane (as an A&P Mechanic) and Ms. *****, the IA (Inspection Authorized) mechanic would verify and sign off the entries. It has been a struggle, begging at times, getting the IA to do any work on the plane with one empty promise after another mixed with lies and lies. In October, the "delay" was due to the fact I wanted an engine monitor installed and a battery modification as well and that all jobs would concurrently be conducted. It was a struggle to get the engine monitor even ordered. The battery project was not even on the back burner and I had forgone it in the interest of time; still a joke! When the engine monitor was finally ordered after three (3) weeks of begging (we were now in Oct.), the inspection was still not completed. On Oct. 21, contact was made with Ms. ***** to no avail. On Oct. 30, a 'favorable' response was merely to ask me for my hangar combination. On Oct. 31, I once again inquired as to where we were heading; status of the jobs etc. On Nov 5, I went down and contacted Ms. ***** as to what is going on. She said she would join me in the hangar; only to get a text at 3 PM ("Just got back [from lunch] be over in a little bit" followed b a text at 1709 ("I am sorry I did not make it down. You around this weekend?" Nov. 23 to Dec. 21 are worth noted for the record: "After the holidays we can move you into the front of the shop and finish". Other planes had moved to the "front". Calls are now avoided and texts not replied to/simply ignored. At this point, IT IS BEST WE PART WAYS. I can do discrimination because of my background, but intimidation is a subject for the FAA and the courts. I am now afraid of what she might do to the plane, whether I would be sent to my death. Need my logbook and monitor kit that are held hostage. 6 months of sufferings. Enough!!!
