          Pattern of Complaint

          In July 2022 BBB investigated Air Conditioning Specialist business practices. This investigation was prompted by a pattern of consumer complaints alleging lack of communication from company, unfulfilled service contracts, and incomplete repairs or installations prompting maintenance, repairs, completion of installation contracts, contact from business and partial to full refunds. During the investigation it was revealed that Air Conditioning Specialist does not have a current 2023 business license according to the Commissioner of Revenue in Portsmouth, Virginia and is active and in good standing with the Virginia State Corporation Commission.

          On July 11, 2023 and again on July 24, 2023, BBB notified the company about the pattern of complaints alleging non-delivery of furniture and lack of communication prompting requests for delivery or refunds. Better Business Bureau requested information on how Air Conditioning Specialist was going to correct the pattern of customer complaints.

          Upon request from the BBB, Air Conditioning Specialists has failed to remove "BBB Accredited Business" seal from their advertising.
