Moving out of our house in VA as we had relocated out of the area. On the final walkthrough before closing the sellers requested the lawn to be mowed. Our realtor had hired a company to mow the lawn. We received the bill the next day of ***** We did not know of the price until the work was complete. After seeing completed pictures of the product this price was not justified. After leaving a negative public review on Archer's Lawn Services ******** profile I received a message from the owner calling me a liar for the review I posted, as well as a photo of private message from some that had messaged him claiming that his service was incredible, which had that customers private information. I responded that isn't professional for a business to call his customers a liar. The owner then proceeded threaten to sue me for defamation of my review. After seeing pictures of the subpar work that had been done since we were not in the area, I added them to the review to provide proof of the subpar work that was completed. The entire yard had not been mowed and was never stated to me or my realtor as the customers, that the entire lawn was not able to be finished. The owner then proceeded to have his colleagues/ friends attack me on the review that I left. Posting pictures of mine and my families addresses and phone numbers, calling us peasants and harassing us through messages. This to me is about as unprofessional as a company can be, and no company that responds to their customers in such a manner should be able to hold a business license.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/11) */ Archers Lawn Services would like to state, This gentleman complained about the state of the yard. I had a call of Sunday at 3:30 pm to come out and quote this emergency cut.I charged *** for me stopping time with my family, and the yard was 3 feel tall and well over a acre of land. Any landscaping company would of charged double of what We did. I have before and after pictures of the yard and a message to the realtor stating that, "the playground had bee hives underneath it". Therefore could not be hit this was the only complaint I received, that that playground was not cut. I uphold a 5 star rating on our ******** business page, I stand by my work. We did business with the realtor not this man. If the problem was with the price, thats not a company issue being that the quote at **** was accepted by the realtor. No complaints about the yard at all and this is the ******** review the man leaves," overpriced. grass was tall but not enough to consider what they charged. If we weren't selling our house and in a pinch to use them we wouldn't have.(lie,He had no choice in this matter)lawn looks worse than what a cheap lawn mower from the junk yard would do." I have a top of line commercial Hustler and never had a complaint before this. Then the man proceeds to get his family to write the same post 5 different times on my business page with only 1 goal to ruin my buisness. This is slander.
