    I purchased a membership from Island Glow last year, sometime in April/May 2022. Platinum membership was $99.99 per month and came with many benefits. In September of 2022, I "froze" the account at the suggestion of the employs there, assuring me it would continue my membership at the rate of $99.99 per month, even if prices increased, AND the $10 per month they charged my frozen account each month would be "banked" and could be used toward services and products in the salon. Fast forward to yesterday, I unfroze my account t (for a fee of $15) and asked about the "banked" money. The employee asked the owner and reported back to me that they stopped doing that in 2021. I didn't argue, but only said I had read somewhere or had been told that this was still in practice. So I was charged the $99.99 membership fee plus the $15 unfreeze fee yesterday (a total of $124.99). The membership cost had not increased, but actually now has less benefits than last year, like much less. Once home I found the email I received last October 2022, stating that the $10 per month would be banked. I forwarded this to the owner, questioning her and asking her to make it right. She did not respond to my email, but rather refunded me $92. I have no idea and no explanation where this amount came from. So basically I can get no answers from the owner. I threw away $10 per month (for 6-7 months), plus fees to freeze and unfreeze my account. There was absolutely zero benefit to doing this. The owner is practicing shady business and I want my money back. And I'd like for other to be aware of her antics.

    Purchased 2 subscriptions for tanning for myself and daughter. Used the service several times although difficult to get in since they say walk in welcome however this was not the case. When I was able to get in service itself was fine but they made a few charge mistakes. They had my credit card on file and were making incorrect charges, which they did correct after I let the head person know (who’s not there). After this happened multiple times I did check on my way out to ask what was the charge, if any, to avoid more mistakes. After asking this I was then sent an email by the company (who wasn’t there and I’ve never met) who let me know that she refunded money left for the future of the subscription and demanded that I not return to their business. I felt they clearly just don’t want to be questioned about how they use your card. My charges text to my phone and so I know when I am being charged. I only ever had polite conversations with the people there as well as other customers as well as my daughter who was present. The only conversations were also directly about my appointments or payments. Finally, they often have a Labrador dog present who is very friendly and licks you. I am a big dog lover and liked the dog but noticed that there was no water bowl in the space at all yet when the dog is there, the restroom is left open with toilet seat up and I saw the dog go in and drink from the toilet and then go greet guests on more than one occasion. That turned my stomach but I did not complain since I wanted the dog to be able to get water however I did avoid the sweet dog afterwards. I feel this could be an infection problem considering they are also working closely with peoples eyes for treatment s.
