I meet ************************* at my property on Friday 3/1/2024. At ************************************************************************. He was suppose to close up the box where the birds were getting in. Said he would put a metal plate over it for $149. He also told me that there would be a travel charge for coming out so far. When he called he said they were 45 minutes away but never mentioned a travel charge. He sent the other gentleman over to look for something in the truck and they couldnt find anything. He then came in the house for payment and charged us $429.99 and said they found some shingles and bent them and put them in there. They were the rotten shingles from my roof that the roofer had just changed and threw in the trash. He also stuck a used dirty rag in there as well. We would really like a refund for the work that was not preformed as stated.Customer response

I have not heard anything from them. I Put in a stop payment with the bank and the bank is still waiting to hear from them as well. If I do hear something from the bank I will let you know. Thanks so much.

I originally scheduled an inspection of my chimney early December 2022 with RVA Chimney Sweep, LLC. They came out quickly, which was great because our regular chimney sweep company was booked out for 3 months. Upon the inspection we were told the "back panel and body need to be replaced, DO NOT use unsafe". They asked us to pay 50% of the total repair estimate upfront. My husband wrote him a ***************** for $395, which they cashed in short order. We then went on to have 4 appointments that were all missed with no response from the company. We called them numerous times. The first appointment where no one showed up was on a Saturday in December. We called the number on the invoice and it went to a call service and were told the company "does not do weekend appointments, were we sure about the date", we had it written down and my husband clarified with the owner ****** that they did weekend work when he was at our house for the initial inspection. They took our information saying they would call back ... they did not, we had to call again twice and were disconnected by call service. Since we have had 4 missed appointments with no explanation. It seems whenever we actually reach the owner he makes excuses and reschedules, only to be a no-show. I just called them today, January, 26. Call went to call service, I informed them we wanted our $395 returned to us and wanted nothing more to do with them. I was asked for my phone number which I gave and then was disconnected. The address on the invoice is incorrect, there is another business at the address. Highly fraudulent behavior as the owner/company NEVER calls us to reschedule or update us. We are constantly chasing after them.Business response

Came to check chimney and cleaning on 10/15/2022.W called because we heard water drops when it rained They told us we needed to change the cap (never went up a latter to check the cap or chimney they took photos from the inside of the chimney and cleaned it, they let us know the panel needed to be changed and we saw that it needed to.They gave us an estimate of $1900 and requested a payment to start. We asked ****** if we can pay it in more than 2 payments and they told us 3 because it was expensive. We gave them a check hesitantly of $633.33 to order the parts, Thank them and they left. My husband and I checked prices for the parts needed and we found that they were over charging us because the 2 parts were around $400. So we asked ourselves why are they charging so much?. I called Monday morning because it was the weekend, I spoke with ************** explained the situation, he told me he would pay us back in a check minus the inspection and cleaning $69.99 and than told us he will also charge us $45.00 to stop the check which I think is ridiculous because the check was already cashed, they would just need to make us a company check. I called on 10/21 no check or call, 10/24, still no return call or check, 10/26 was told I needed to wait 48 hrs., I told the office I have been waiting over a week. As of today 11/4/2022 made another call, still no response from the owner or the office or a check. What could me my next step? it has been 3 weeks.
