I am formally requesting for the seller to cancel and order.Per collectorutopia.com there is a 24 hour return for purchases over $1,000 dollars and a 30 day refund policy, I placed an order last night (06/13/2024) and paid through PayPal at 10:08pm eastern time (Paypal merchant transaction ID attached) for a 1955 ************************* ******** #*** PSA EX 5.Merchant Transaction ************************************* I became suspicious after I paid and realized there was no tax added to the payment and the seller did not send and order confirmation. Collectorutopia.com is listing two different addresses in ******* and ********. There are no stores with that name (Collector Utopia) in those states or businesses registered under that name or Selwyn (the PayPal name showing on transaction). The number on the contact list is from **********. I have tried to contact the seller several times to ask him several questions. I was able to get a hold of him the first time I called at 10:06am on 6/14/2024. Upon my question and request for a confirmation, he stated he wpuld send me a confirmation email message which I never received. I called him several times via phone (7) from 10:30am through 5:34pm and email messages (3) with little success (picked up the phone once and replied to the first email message). The Get in Touch in the website contact page comes up with an error.This sounds like a scam and that card is probably counterfeit. I am requesting for the seller to adhere to his policy of return. He does not need to mail me the card just do a full refund.Thanks.Initial Complaint

I believe this site is a scam and a fraud. The site is composed of collectable items, from cards, comics, and highly valued action figures. I purchased one of the items on the site as it was at a very low cost to what it could be worth, thinking I had found a deal. I proceeded to receive two separate *** tracking numbers, one stating that it was delivered on 16 ***, the second on 17 *** (only made one purchase through PayPal). The 16 *** was suspicious since the company sent an email on that day stating it would arrive 17 ***. The 17 *** tracking number immediately went into delivery investigation, without me reporting it as lost; I've read that this is a tactic used by scammers as it will be up to 15 business days before *** can resolve the claim, and in that time the scammer can get the money. As I further looked into everything, I saw more Red Flags: The site states that it is based in ********, yet has a map depicting they are in *******. One tracking number stated it originated in **********, **, while the second stated *******, **. I have filed a dispute with PayPal and with BoA to attempt not to pay the transaction. I have documentation of everything that I wrote above. For any collector, they would realize the prices for such items are lower than Market Value, and might fall into the same trap as me, thinking they had found a good deal. I believe this site should be investigated and potentially criminally charged.Customer response

The answer is No, this business did not reach out to me to attempt to resolve this issue. Thankfully, PayPal immediately stopped the transaction and saved me from losing money from this scam.
Currently on ****** Search for this website, it now has a Scam Alert of 48%, which would have been helpful when I first found this business. I would hope that my complaint and your action would drive this alert even higher, to prevent further victims of this Scam.
The business's lack of response to your Agency should be proof enough of the nefarious activities that they are conducting. I have also filed a complaint with the ************************* of Virginia to highlight the potential criminal activity..
