      I tried to cancel membership several time at the gym in person, in writing over the past two years. I have been charged on auto renewal without my permission.

      I have reached out to this member twice and left a message with no response. Based on the complaint I have processed with the cancellation and no further invoicing will take place. I have attached the cancellation document for your records and ours.

      First Step -

      This member came into the club to cancel here at East End. unfortunately a manager was not here to process cancellation. Staff had her email management. Once the email was received, we noticed that she was not a member at East End. Email was received 12/30 to **********************************.  I called the ** at ************** explained to her the situation and also forward her the email from the member.  Email was forwarded on 1/1/2024.

      Second Step - 

      I spoke to this member over the phone and then via email as well. She was very pleasant and I did cancel her account and accepted an email cancellation and waived her 30 day cancellation fee as well. It was all received and processed on 1/3.

      This is an issue with golds gym on ********** in ******** **.. I was trying to get the $10 membership because I have silver sneakers thru my medical insurance!! Upon asking for that membership I was told that the $ 10 membership wasnt offered that I would have to purchase the ***** monthly with 50 annual fee as well Ive had this membership for about 4 months now.. about a week ago I was told by one of the front desk workers that I was being over charged and I need ton issued a refund and I would need to go the the to get a refund well I spoke with the ***************** and I was told that I was going to get a refund she so called put on my debit info and informed me that it refunded 3 to 5 days I been calling repeatedly and I just was getting dismiss by the **** On 6/28 I went to the location to find out wheres my funds I was informed that it had been reversed but the dont know where my ****** is and its nothing they can do about it!! For me to call my bank and I did they had no pending deposits from golds gym!! I felt disrespected because they was looking thru my transactions history to see if I was lying and even after that I was offered a phone and then told me they didnt know how far Ill get with the telephone number which it just hangs up on u!! All I want is my money back and I just made my $ 50 annual payment the only thing they are offer Me is two months free I pass I rather have my refund

      We apologize that this issue has taken so long to get resolved and that this incident occurred in the first place.We went in and zeroed out months on your current membership as a courtesy so that you weren't being charged while we resolve the issue. Unfortunately, all of the payments were made in cash so we have to issue a check from our accounting department. I have reached out and am waiting to hear back about when the check is sent out via mail. I apologize if you have found it difficult to get in contact with me, My AGM, ******, and I have made sure to keep you updated. We will continue to do so until we help you get your refund back!

      I have been trying to cancel my membership with this business for the past 3 months as I have a medical issue that prohibits me from doing anything except walking or water exercises. I have gone to the gym multiple times over the past 3 months to cancel my membership, and each time I am told that they can not cancel my membership as there is not manager on site and only managers can cancel memberships. I have gotten charged $44.49 for the past 3 or more months and I have not used their facilities.So I am being forced to pay because there is never any manager there when I go after work. It was not this hard to get a membership, it should not be this hard to cancel. I would like to have my membership cancelled and have the last 3 months that I paid refunded.
